keep driving or sleep in your car ! Bed sheets were stained and dirty, floor was dirty, shower had someone else's hair in it. Don't make the same mistake as me ! just keep going !!

I've stayed at nearly all the hotels between Terrace Bay and Thunderbay as I travel for work, if you know the area this is great quality place to stay. The rates are lower then Terrace and Nipigon and it's the same quality of room. It's not a 5 star hotel by any means but its definitely 5 star in comparison to the competition. The water pressure there was amazing and the owners are incredibly sweet. I travel with 2 little dogs and they didnt even bat and eye or try and gouge me when requesting a pet room. l will definitely be back.

The customer service was incredible, my friend and I were advised not to stay in Thunder Bay (only a really rough area motel was available there) so we just kept driving, couldn’t find anywhere to rent except for Filane’s. the owner made sure we had a place (even tho it was already after 11pm) we kept driving, he stayed up to make sure we arrived safely and got into our room (it was after 1 am when we arrived) rooms were dated but honestly the loving caring feeling we had from the owner made up for that all around. He was defiantly our guardian angel that night. Thank you again Cosmo for everything

Driving across Canada with my family and Filanes was the only place open around. We finally found this place at 1am and they checked us in no problem. Although the room had a stale smell to it the beds were quite comfortable.

The rooms were clean and had ample space. Rooms came with a kitchenette which was great as we could cook food as we liked. Awesome place to stay at for the night.

You will not meet a kinder more accepting lacy in all of Ontario. The friendliness alone makes this worth the stay. If you're a family non vacation and a budget THIS IS YIUR HIDDEN GEM. Large room, and full kitchen, with great rates!!! 99$ with a pet fee. The original 70's devore gives a nostalgic touch that will warm you up. If you're a big time city folk looking for a 5 star with modern decor keep trucking ! Seems these reviewers were looking for just that.... this place is truly fantastic. We enjoy staying here every trip across Canada.

Had to stay two nights because my wonderful room at the Norwood in Terrace Bay was booked.Cosiana is the worst, dirtiest place I have ever stayed in. Slept on top of bed in my boots and work clothes. Disgusting. Ceiling was falling in from water damage in the two rooms we had rented, food debris all over the floors, couch and chairs. I opened the covers on one bed and found two pieces of dried up snot. Mattress had a depression in the centre deep enough to hide a body in, and they had string wrapped around the piers outside that hold the balcony up because the concrete was falling off them.Should be condemned. And it was only $95 per night for each room.I rate it MINUS 10 stars. Not the 1 star I had to select to post this.

A very good motel. My partner and I stopped here on our way across Canada and we were so pleasantly surprised. The rooms were clean, warm despite the -20°c weather and the couple who runs it are so nice and accommodating.. We checked in fairly late and they stayed up and waited for us!! Will definitely stay here again, a total hidden gem!

Ownership is friendly and they stayed up untill 11:30 pm to check us in. There is good water pressure. The room it self was not very clean. There were used masks and water bottles under the bed. Kitchenette was dirty. Room smelled like stale cigarettes. The fridge was full size but was very loud.

The beds were very comfortable! The room was clean. There was no wifi, but there is service on the area, so that was fine. There are a couple of things that could be improved, (bathroom sink, stained towels,) but it was clean, just what we needed after a long day of traveling. Definitely going to stay here again.
