Butter Gallery

Unfortunately i had the same experience as a few of the previous reviewers. Beautiful artwork but I felt very unwelcome. Really disappointing experience as this was to be a highlight of my visit to Collingwood.

I feel bad only giving one star as the artwork here is amazing! However, the lady running the store was very pretentious. I walked in and was greeted with a judgmental look instead of a greeting. Two women came in right behind me and they were greeted with a warm hello and asked if the needed help. When I asked about a certain artist the lady seemed annoyed. Instead of helping me further she just gave me the business card and told me all the information was on their website. Will definitely not be returning. This business should learn how to treat potential customers with respect.

Sadly, this review is not a reflection of the wonderful artists... The art was absolutely lovely. I happen to have several pieces from artists featured at this gallery… In fact, some very large pieces. The woman running the gallery was positively obnoxious. She was blatantly rude to my friend & I upon entry. While in the back room viewing some of the art, she questioned in a demeaning tone as to why we were there?!?! She then asked us curtly to leave as she had “people in who were there to purchase…” It was HIGHLY offensive. Insulting. That is how you don’t sell art. I will never purchase art from this gallery. Moreover, I will highly recommend my friends & family go elsewhere. Shameful.

Always a wonderful visit to the Butter Gallery . It's filled with sculptures, and paintings by many local Canadian artists.

Top tier gallery. Stunningly curated with an amazing collection of artists painting in many styles. If you want beautiful art this is the spot.

Love this gallery! Prices are very reasonable! ..beautiful, exciting and unique pieces Andrea and Suzanne are very helpful and know their artists. One of my favourite galleries.

My husband and I visited the gallery and had a very pleasant experience. We are not art afficiedatos, nor were we looking to purchase anything, but the staff member was very friendly and chatted with us while we were there. The artwork was absolutely amazing! We'll definitely visit again the next time we're in Collingwood!

Popped into my favourite gallery this weekend and was once again super impressed with the art. Way too many pieces I want to purchase. Andrea was very helpful in finding me the right piece for my home. This is the best gallery for anyone looking to start purchasing art as well as for those with extensive knowledge. Also great for beautiful jewelry.

Loved visiting this beautiful gallery right in downtown Collingwood! An incredible collection of gorgeous art with a super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff. I am definitely going to make it a must visit every time I am in the area.
