This is the worst company to call and get anyone to help you with anything. There has been a power line sitting on the sidewalk. outside my house for the last 3 hours. I haven’t been able to reach anyone by calling PUC. They randomly just hang up and you don’t get a call back.

Staff shortage can not get anyone on the line to figure out where my first bill is. Having someone in the company available to talk to customers about there inquires is part of what I'm paying for. If you can't provide your staff and customers with a good environment you shouldn't be incharge of something as important as the power grid. Clearly our money isn't going to the right places.

Honestly the service has been really good so far. Moved into my first apartment in February 2021 and was able to make a whole new account and get power turned on in my apartment the next day. Had an outage issue today and got connected with a real person on the phone in seconds and they were really nice and friendly. Only thing keeping me from giving 5 stars is the website. I swear I've tried to pay my bill through it several times and it just never lets me, which forces me to do it by phone every month. I don't really care about the extra % they add to my bill for using that method but it's just really tedious and time consuming lmao. Might wanna fix the website.

Awful, awful, awful. You try to call to understand your bill, your online account and your paper bill are both different and too confusing to understand. The phone number just hangs up on you. How do i understand my bill? Where is my previous payment? No one will ever know because this company is so poorly run and managed. But if my bill doesn't get paid I can guarantee you they will shut off my power... The province should shut this company down. There is no way that the 1/10 level of customer service they provide can be legal.EDIT:So after the 6th time of trying to call i finally got someone. VERY helpful and apologetic for my being hung up on. It's a swift reminder that the people on the phone are not responsible for the lack luster management they are under. This company should be grateful for how talented their representatives are and the management should removed imediately and replaced. My bill was corrected in the end after my first payment encountered a OPUC systems glitch and was improperly applied to my deposit instead of my account.

No matter who I call whether it be the bank, my phone company, insurance, or any of my utility providers, I’m always hit with: “we’re experiencing higher call volumes than usual”. Are they really “higher than usual” if it’s every single time? I would honestly appreciate the transparency so much more if you just said “as usual, we’re swamped and under staffed, that or we just don’t feel like answering the phone right now.”How is it when I call customer service I’m essentially told “we’re very busy right now, try again later” and get hung up on? I thought being stuck on hold was the worst case scenario, but I don’t even have the option to wait on hold here! If you’re going to end the call on a customer at least offer a call-back option.

Customer service is impossible to reach, I've moved out of oshawa and filled forms to close my account twice now and they are still billing me for a house I'm not even living in, countless emails and phone calls to get no response. ZERO STARS

I have had 2 occasions that I've needed to call Oshawa PUC in the last couple of months. Both times I had to listen to a 5 minute recording and at the end of it they say there is nobody available to take the call. Either use the computer or call back. However there is never anyone there if you call back. What kind of place has this became that you cannot ever reach anyone. Customer service is in the toilet here. I was trying to report vandalism to the green box on my boulevard, it had been completely knocked over and was on it's side. I guess they will waiting for someone to be injured or worse by the exposed wires. No accountability.

They're simple to deal with bill wise and pretty alright in general. Customer service employees could be a bit better. Getting ahold of them through social media is easy, but I spoke with a lady who kept dodging my questions about my account and ended the phone call as quickly as she could once my original problem was solved. Bit icky.

Powers been partially off since 7:00pm called to report the outage they said to just call back in 2hrs if it isn't fixed, so we call back at 9:00pm and are told it isn't their problem and that we need to call an electrician and if the electrician deems it an Oshawa power issue they might reimburse us Jennifer did not report the outage it seems because we called back for a 3rd time at midnight and it is a full on outage now so finally she decides to report it to the technicians and update the outage map, 5 hours and 3 calls to be taken seriously is absurd in freezing weather. Absolutely useless rude staff who could care less.

Worst place to get power from there office downtown has workers In side working that can help you but make you call over the phone out side the office doors hands down worst sevice I have ever had in my life city of Oshawa need to deal with this PLP should be able to talk to someone in person about there hydro not be told us a phone outside the office doors when you have workers in side that can help your customers very unprofessional
