The best porchetta in town, and to be honest, better than most that I've tried in Italy! We stop by whenever we can for a hot table - porchetta, steak, grilled chicken in a bun - they're all great. Kids love grilled sausages. A great variety of frozen food, as well as fresh meat. It's an experience shopping there!

Placed an order for pick up as we do every other week. Firstly the staff taking the order on the phone was extremely rude, I understand it is busy but customer service in an establishment is extremely important. Paid at the counter, cashier was aware I was picking. Did not advise order was almost ready or being packed… but was sitting on the side. Everyone receiving the food as I’m waiting half an hour for a pick up. Called to speak to a manager and she kept talking over me trying to push her apology, not listening to a word I had to say. Again I am aware this is a busy place but that’s no excuse…. Employees have no sense of urgency.

Good food, especially the steak. I like my steak the traditional way with a bit of tomato sauce. I don't understand the communication breakdown between the cashier where you order and the employees making the food. Every time I ask for sauce, I never get sauce, and I mean never. Today I stopped and picked up a steak sandwich and asked for sauce as I normally do. The receipt doesn't say tomato sauce, so I asked how do they know there's supposed to be sauce and employee said it shows up on their end. Fair enough. When my number was called I asked, is there tomato sauce in the sandwich, employee said yes. I get home and there no sauce. To the owners, please look into this and fix it. Thanks.

Pricey but WHAT AN AMAZING GRILLED STEAK sandwich! I would love to try every single sandwich available.I didn't buy anything at the store but they have a lot of great offerings.

Vicentina's one of the popular meat shops in the city. I first heard about it when an Italian friend brought out a skewer grill and made us some fine lamb spiedini (speducci). It was as I remembered it from the Taste of Little Italy, and I've frequented here since for their spiedini boxes.But Vicentina is more than just a meat shop, it's also known for porchetta roast and its panino/sandwich bar. I recall their fresh porchetta sandwich was decent yet it turns out their grilled steak sandwich is even more delicious. The process is simple: just make your order (meat, bread, toppings), wait for your number to be called, and then go up to the grill counter to wrap and collect your meal. Prices have increased slightly but within the soft kaiser buns was a good portion of sliced steak - fresh, succulent, tender and very well-flavoured. I'm already looking forward to trying it again next time.Their panino bar does get crowded for lunch but many people just take out their sandwiches. I ended up cutting the sandwich myself after unwrapping it. Vicentina's not exactly convenient to find nestled in an industrial park up in Vaughan. However it's always a worthwhile visit.

As much as I hate to leave a bad review for this place I feel that your employees (in the meat dept.) are unprofessional, ignorant, and incompetent. For almost 20 years and hundreds of $$ later spent on your meats and catering items it is not fair when you start to cheat customers and promote false advertising only to be told by your staff mistakes happen. Sorry that's unacceptable. With the price of food rising everywhere you are contributing to ripping off your customers by mislabelling your products and then have an unhinged employee who needs to be taught a lesson on what the word principle" means. I got tired of trying to state my point and growing angrier and angrier by the second because she just kept repeating the same thing over and over again. This woman in the meat dept was just impossible to talk to. Talk about lacking customer service skills. There has to be accountability here somewhere. See pics below. Although the best product from this place is the the porchetta sandwich. I decided to go for the chicken salad and its my favourite salad. healthy Fresh and very tasty. Buy the cheese from the counter which is not included in the salad. And its perfect!

Amazing shop. The porchetta sandwich is ridiculously good! Definitely worth it, no wonder it's their specialty.The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because we purchased steaks and one of them was very unevenly cut, to the point that the thickness was 1/2 on one side and 1"on the other. That made it really difficult to cook and I expect much better from a butcher of this quality. The meat was cut in the back versus right in front of you which we found a little odd

Love their steak sandwich with rapini! It gets super busy during lunch and late lunch but luckily they have an online system for ordering so I don’t have to wait long. The staff there have always been friendly to me every time, even when it’s crazy. Also enjoy their selection of meats, frozen desserts and some other staples for cooking at home.

Best sandwiches in Toronto, specifically the steak one, freshest and juices!!!
