Alpha D Hair Salon

Was looking for a nice Japanese salon during my business trip in Vancouver and Alpha D happened to have an open slot later on the day so I booked it.Shoko was my hair stylist, she listened to me carefully for the style I wish to have, even I showed her the photo of the style I had years ago.First, she took my jacket and put it in a plastic bag so it would not get any hair on it, the shampoo my hair very nicely, asked about the temperature and the strength, and just like any other Japanese salon, she covered my eyes with a eye shade so water can not splash into my eyes.During the cut, we chatted somewhat, Shoko is talkative but also stay professional as the mean time.She constantly asked my opinion during the cut and after.I was very satisfied with the service on how she treated me and everything else.Price us very reasonable in my opinion, I used to pay between $90 to $120 on NYC and $55-75 in California. At Alpha D I only paid $36 USD and the result was the same as other previous stylists'.I highly recommend Alpha D and Shoko. Will definitely stop by again next time while in Vancouver.

I’ve been to Alpha D’s Richmond location before and decided to try the Downtown location for convenience. I had the best haircut by Yuko. She listened to what I wanted and delivered perfectly. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I had an appointment with Shoko and I would recommend her service. I did a hair cut and balayage. Shoko was meticulous in the work she does and is very friendly.

This little salon is great. The chairs at the hair washing station are so comfortable. Kana did a great job at washing my hair. It was gentle and thorough. She also brushed out my hair more careful than any other stylist I've ever had. Also did a great haircut. I let her do what she thought was best and I love how it looks.

I have been a customer of Alpha D in Richmond and never experienced any problems. I always end up with good customer satisfaction. It was my first time at the Vancouver location getting my haircut and hair color done. Yuko, my hair stylist at the time was awesome and accommodating. She did my balayage hair however I ended up having to come back twice as there are orange hints were left in my hair so she fixed it. Second time I was booked on a friday and she had a client when I arrived. She thought that I was booked the next day. When she fixed it, she told me I shouldn't be seeing any more orange hints but I feel like it was rushed. The next couple days, I saw that there are still a bit orange hints. I'm not very happy about this experience.

I used to see Taeko, but since she went on mat leave I started seeing Shoko. Both are phenomenal stylists. I always leave satisfied.

I had an appointment with Ayane. She washed my hair very well. She patiently understood my requirements before cutting my hair. The result was much better than I expected. I will vist again in the future.

Very nice and courteous staff. The hair cut has been good. I like their COVID protocol, a fresh mask when you enter, your processions in a new bag, and QR code for tracking your contact info on Google Docs. Best of all is the shampoo. The chair comes with a special head support which means my neck doesn't have to rest against the sink, which is the part I cannot stand about other salons. Between shampooing and the application of hair conditioner, they used the hot towel treatment to wipe my forehead, ears and then they placed the hot towel under my neck. Very nice and relaxing.

Yuko is an exceptional stylist who provided me with an amazing haircut. She was personable and attentive, taking the time to understand my preferences and make thoughtful suggestions. Her technical skill is impressive, and my hair looks awesome. Yuko is also warm and engaging, making the experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend her for anyone looking for a skilled and caring stylist.
