Deer Creek

Deer Creek is the BEST public GTA golf course! The golf course is very challenging and scenic - and turf maintenance is ALWAYS in excellent condition from tee boxes to fairways to greens. Service with pro shop and admin staff is friendly and professional. Food and service at the clubhouse restaurant is top-class. Highly recommended for both golfers and people interested in booking special events (for example weddings, tournaments, conferences). Thank you so much, Deer Creek, for providing a white-glove golf experience every single time I have played golf at your property!

I am a wedding photographer that has working at Deer Creek multiple times. It is one of my favourite venues in the area and when it comes to the ceremony spot, reception layout and of course the grounds for photos, they are all perfect for photos. Can't wait until my next wedding in July that I will be documenting here!

Covered a wedding here pre-covid. It's an amazing space with plenty of areas for photo ops. If the weather is nice, you can have your ceremony in the gazebo and reception indoors right after. There is a willow tree that is great for photos and since it's a golf course, the grass is well maintained. Food is also tasty and having an open bar at the reception is always a nice bonus. This venue is highly recommended in my books!

We had our ceremony and reception at Deer Creek and were overall very happy with our venue choice. Since the venue is one of the biggest vendors you will be dealing with, we were very careful with this choice. We had toured and viewed a lot of wedding venues and decided to go with Deer Creek due to its ambience, cleanliness, package options, and responsiveness. Since our wedding was in October, we were looking for a ceremony space that had an indoor and outdoor option but still fit our vision. We fell in love with their colour palette and chandeliers and knew right away that this was where we were going to have our big day. We chose to do our wedding photoshoot here and the photos turned out amazing!We worked closely with Madison during the whole process and she was very responsive, professional, organized, transparent, and made you feel really comfortable with any decisions that needed to be made.The food served during our reception was pretty good. Great portions and options for your guests! The servers and bartenders were all really nice and respectful to our family and friends. One thing to note is that they do not serve shots, which a lot of people would usually expect at a wedding. This was not a deal breaker for us, but may be for other couples.

Went to Savour the Flavour tonight, had a fantastic time. Food was delicious, the facility was beautiful and your staff were wonderful.

Great job by whole team, especially Pamela, keeping her cool under pressure when the projector didn't work. Food was amazing and well presented. Pricing was reasonable too. Everyone was impressed by the venue for our presentation.

Definitely used to be one of the nicest maintained courses I have played during the pandemic however that has changed the last couple years.What once was an exquisitely maintained course at a goor price point has gone down in terms of quality and up in price which unfortunately won’t have me back at current pricing.We played the north course, diamond followed by black pearl. The course layout itself is fun and challenging with a variety of hazards but not a lot of forced carries which will allow for some miss shots to be ok. Pace of play was good, considering it was cart path inly due to wet conditions from previous rainfall.

First time at Deer Creek and I must say it was a beautiful experience. The room was spacious, the food delicious and the energy of the room was refreshing! Staff were so kind and welcoming.

I was most recently here in May 2022 as a wedding photographer. It was the first time I've been back since they added a new ceremony area and renovated. It's such a beautiful venue and I would go as far as saying one of the best in the Durham Region. The wait safe and coordinators are so kind and helpful. Keep in mind because it is a golf course you are limited to where you can take photos due to safety. You have access to a golf cart to reduce walking time to different spots. Nearby photos locations are Greenwood Conservation Area, Heber Down Conservation Area and Imagination Park. Can't wait to be back!

Attended Connect Women Conference at Deercreek and it was fantastic. From the comfortable chairs, great breakfast spread and fantastic lunch. I have an allergy and it was handled very well with a delicious replacement meal.
