IKEA London - Design Studio

We went yesterday in hopes to get a few things planned out & ordered. The lady who helped us was great. I showed her two inspo pictures from Pinterest and one of the space in the house. She zoomed through setting up the designs, even made other suggestions that we ended up liking better. Everything’s been ordered and it was super easy.

We were planning to drive to the GTA to solidify the kitchen order we designed with IKEA's old app, and Google brought us here. Recent reviews looked good, so we popped in shortly after 10am and Liz was able to book us in for a 1pm appointment. Boy are we SO glad to have visited the Masonville location! She kindly took the time to upload my design into the new software (so it won't be lost forever in the Sept update), helped tweak things to fit changing production/availability and ensured all our little details and customizations were perfect. Liz was friendly and extremely efficient. (She really knows her way around IKEA kitchens and their software!) Our meeting lasted just over 90 min, and we feel more confident about the success of this kitchen install than the other 3 we've previously done.Everything is ordered and will be shipped as it's available. (80% is available to ship in 2 weeks. We went into the process realizing that Covid delays have made things trickier than pre-pandemic, so we're purchasing now to be ready for a January install.)We are so thankful to have saved 4-5 hours of travel time today. Hurrah for the London location.

Walked in. No help. Not even acknowledged in store. Don’t understand what my even have a store in Masonville if it’s ran like this

I'll start at the end of the story, RAJ was excellent! Explaining everything we needed and ordered our list and had it scheduled for delivery in 3 days! Don't waste your time driving to the nearest full sized Ikea if you want kitchen, bath or cabinets. But be prepared that there is only a few staff and if you didn't call ahead, you will have to wait. Now the start of the story;We got in our cars and took the drive to Burlington to visit Ikea as my mom has always wanted a custom closet and she loved the look of these cabinets. She is not young, and the trip is a bit demanding, but we found what we wanted in the store and proceeded to work through the design-it-yourself computer and after a hour and a half, came out with nearly $5000 in designs and what she wanted. We had engaged the staff a couple times to clarify what we could actually purchase, and when we finally printed out our huge list, willing to pay and have it delivered 300 kms away, they told us a couple pieces weren't available and we would have to await a phone call before purchasing the item. I said, wait?! I can't buy this and you just ship it when you have the order complied?NO they don't. AAAND they wanted me to drive back again when they had it in stock to buy it.No phone call ever came and my mom was clearly upset. 2 weeks later, thankfully we took a chance and walked into Masonville Ikea and met RAJ and got what we wanted done.

I thought at IKEA you could view some furniture at this location but just a seller and no furniture to view

The worst people work in this company that's why most city the closed location feel bad for Swedish company

My husband and I visited the new Ikea Design Centre in Masonville mall and we were very impressed! A nice change from the old location is that you have a more meeting-like area to sit with a rep and review your design(s) on a computers with ample workspace. They also have lots of samples and excellent lighting to find what you're looking for.We didn't have an appointment, as we already had 90% of our design developed, but just wanted someone to help look it over (this is our 3rd time using Ikea for kitchen design from two previous properties, so we are semi-experienced). We ended up meeting with Liz and she was so beyond helpful - very knowledgeable and offered excellent suggestions to help tweak some minor details that would have otherwise gone unnoticed. We can't thank Liz enough for her time and support!

Mayurraj was very knowledgeable about the kitchen options. He was quick to put together the layout.

The service of the Canadian IKEA is absolutely abysmal. The delivery has been marked as cancelled the day before it was due. Upon calling the customer service they said that it is a glitch in the system. They are not able to provide a time window of when they will deliver so I was invited to wait between 9 AM and 9 PM on a Saturday for the delivery to potentially arrive. Buyer beware! Do not expect Swedish/European customer service standards from IKEA Canada.
