Saint John's Anglican Church - Light on the Hill

This has been my home church for about seven years now. The people are wonderful, honest and friendly and my whole family and I look forward to going to church every week.The minister and his wife are two of the most caring and genuine people I've every met - and the preaching is both inspired and accessible. I can't comment on the music since I play in the band - but - well - we rock!Come and join us, and judge for yourself.

Our family recently returned to this church after living out of province for a number of years. We were met with great warmth and care. The people of this church are truly salt and light in the community. The teaching is biblical and inspiring. Pastors Peter and Margaret live what they teach and their servant hearts no no limits. Pastor Peter is a true gem. Friendly staff with a great vision to help people.

The sermons are thought provoking and the pastor is an excellent speaker. The people I've met here are friendly and genuine.

My name is Rocky Rauf. I look very much like a suspect, biker, hood and actually am all those things. I have have been to St. John's many times and usually when I have walked into a church it has caused a spontaneous altar call for me to come to Christ. I attended St. John's with a friend of mine who is member there. I would strongly disagree with Mr. Trotter's review. I have been treated with nothing but kindness by Peter Blundell and the congregation. I have found his sermon's to be very spiritually challenging. As far Reverend Blundell preaches, and if I can take a few points from the sermon, and gather those and act upon them, I consider that week a success. I have also found his sermons educational. Mr. Trotter you must be a terrible badass if Reverend Blundell told you that and said nothing to me other than hello

The minister cast out my family, telling us we weren't not christians, and implying that we were not worth saving... he will use you and cast you outWhen I confronted him, he admitted to having hurt my mothers feelings... deliberately. He made no attempt afterwards to repair this wound.Things you tell this man in private do not remain silent. He gossips about his followers short comings over coffee meetings.If you are weak minded and follow blindly he comes across great. If you ask questions and demand that he lives up the title of minister... leader... shepherd... he falters and blames you. So long as people like him are the example of what a christian is the faith is doomed.
