The Children's Dental Centre

I have been taking my kids to Dr Zarah for a couple of years now. Very happy with my kids care. Dr Zarah takes time to explain her concerns and rationale for treatment. My daughter was sore after one treatment (caps) and Dr Zarah was easily available to talk on the phone to explain what is normal to be expected after treatment.The kids really like their hygienist, Nadya. Although you may be booked with a different hygienist each time we always request her. My kids feel very comfortable with Nadya and she has a wealth of knowledge due to her many years of experience.My one comment for improvement is.....please expand your hours to include some later evenings.

ABSOLUTELY LOVE everything about this dental centre!! The whole process right from registering our 11 month old was so easy and simple!The process to register him was so quick and uncomplicated with really friendly and sweet staff. When we went for his appointment we couldn't believe how beautiful the centre was, looked like we were at a wedding venue! The staff was so so welcoming! Once we got in the room his dentist and the assistant couldn't have been more kind, professional and sweet! Our boy was in great hands!I was educated on how to properly take care of his dental hygiene and they made sure all of my questions were addressed before ending the appointment. I didn't feel rushed at all.We definitely recommend this place!!! They really took care of us and our baby. And took us by surprise (in the best way possible)

My child was referred to this clinic for cavities, and we were provided with a treatment plan. We then went to another pediatric dentist for a second opinion, and received a treatment plan that was $2000 cheaper. I was very shocked so I spent some time researching and comparing the two treatment plans. Here are the differences:1. The treatment plan from the Children's dental center involves 4 medal restoration (SSC+ pulpotomy) and 2 crowns. The other one has 1 medal restoration and the rest are all white fillings.Both dentists are professionals, and I trust their work will be effective. With Children's dental center's intensive treatment plan, I feel general anesthesia would be my choice. However, with the other dentist's plan, I am comfortable with laughing gas.2. The treatment plan from the Children's dental center includes work such as polish, scaling, and sealant(preventive measure). The other one doesn't.I agree this kind of work is beneficial, but I would prefer to leave them for the next year and be covered by insurance from next year. Unfortunately, they were part of the treatment plan, and weren't given to me as an option. Perhaps I could discuss this with the surgery coordinators, but it is so difficult to connect with them. I feel the clinic is understaffed.In the end, I took my child to the other dentist for treatment.We did have a good experience while at the Children's dental center. The dentist and nurse we saw were very nice. The facility is clean and well-maintained. When I requested the x-rays taken here, the staff provided them right away. Really appreciate that.

RUNNNN!!! I have horrible mom guilt over taking my kids to this dentist. I'll keep it short. Metal caps were forced on my kids. I stupidly trusted these people. My first son had 3. My second son was given EIGHT. My heart sank. Fast forward only 3 years and 2 of those teeth have rotted out under the caps!!! I wanted white fillings like I had as a kid and I was told metal caps are better; they will protect the teeth; they will last until they fall out, yadda yaddda yadda. I wish I listened to the uneasiness in my heart! Metal caps are horrible. They file the teeth down and you can never take them off. My poor kid has to live with this. I fear more will rot and he won't even have a biting surface!!! WHAT THEN?! He's not even 9 years old.Anyway, I finally took care of my own teeth recently. I have had some of my cavities for like 10 years, and yet my teeth were filled with white fillings and are perfect now! A short deduction: these metal caps are cruel. They are invasive. They are UNNECESSARY. I wish I didn't subject my kids to this place. Please do not take your kids here. Additionally, the whole condescending nature of this practice makes me want to throw up! But I trust myself and my gut 100% now! Please learn from my mistake.

I cannot even muster up enough words to say how AMAZING this dental centre is! My daughter has had the worst experiences at other dental offices which lead to her having terrible anxiety and fear at even the mention of the dentist. This entire office is full of angels! The sweetest most caring people. My daughter just had an extraction fully awake because it was an emergency situation and this child who has such fear came out smiling. The entire office is comforting, kind, and most of all compassionate. I don’t usually make reviews but this was pulling at my heart strings and I had to shout from the rooftops how amazing they all are xoxo

My daughter had come here to have some xrays done, and was referred to having surgery. They did give her metal caps as a preventive thing to make it so she wouldn't get cavities on those teeth . They did have to pull 2 of my daughters teeth from a genetic dental problem that was fixed with this procedure. Since then her teeth have been amazing with no more problems. They even have prizes for the kids and tvs for them to watch while doing the dental stuff to help make them feel more comfortable and so that the children arent thinking about dentists being scary lol. They were so great that i asked my pediatrician to refer my son there as well for his dental appointmwnts. Great staff, very nice, very clean, great experience overall and very hsopy with their work and csre for their work and their care for the children

We arrived in Toronto from Vancouver with my 9 year old son in intense pain in his molar. On my sister in laws recommendation we booked an appt with Children's Dental centre. They squeezed us in a few days notice. Later that evening his pain worsened and I went online and noticed an after hours number where I got in tough with a dentist. She handled our situation with such kindness and professionalism. We were squeezed in the following morning and had an emergency dental procedure to remove my sons badly abscesses tooth. We were in and out quickly and with so much care. Thorough dentists abs nurses, upbeat warm professionals who somehow made this experience an easy, painless and good experience for my child. I have the upmost respect and respect for this clinic and the exceptional professionals we had the good fortune of dealing with. Beyond that there were follow up calls to check on him. I wish we had this clinic in Vancouver. This experience was a 10/10 on all fronts. Thank you so much Children's Dental Centre!!!! Jill Drever

Wonderful treatment for my son's extensive dental trauma recently. Dr. Zahra and the team were incredibly efficient and calm and did beautiful work!

We had such a wonderful experience with The Children’s Dental Centre. Everyone we spoke to and interacted with at every point in care was warm, helpful and absolutely exceeded our expectations. My son was relaxed and put at ease by the team. They were also available anytime (after hours number) if we had any questions or concerns. Highly recommend!
