Took my first ever weaving class here recently. It was so well taught and encouraging that even I - who is not crafty at all - finished my scarf project. So pleased am I! Such a beautiful store to come together and learn in. Will continue weaving!

Bought my wife a weaving course. The two evenings she spent with the shop owner were a lot of fun and informative she said. It's a nice little, well stocked yarn crafts shop.

Great selection of yarns and related accessories. We enjoyed the variety of alpaca wools and blends. The proprietor is friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. We found what we were looking for and were happy to purchase from a local independent business. We will be back and recommend Penelope Fibre Arts to all artists who knit. It's well worth a visit.

The lady (first initial B), presumably the owener, confirmed that all cones that I needed were in stock, and delivery would take 1 or 2 days. Afterwards, I ordered 7 cones in total last Friday online. I urgently needed 5 cones in black among those 7 cones. I explained this urgency to the lady by phone. According to her, all were supposed to be delivered to me the next Monday which was this Monday. However, nothing was delivered by this Monday. Indeed, only part of them were shipped this Monday afternoon which turned out to be delivered to me this Wednesday night.She did not contact me ahead that she does not have 3 black cones which she thought she had. This Monday afternoon, she replied to my email that 4 out of 7 have now been shipped and the other 3 black cones will be in the store this Wednesday, and shipped on the same day.Before I placed a order, I checked with her if everything I needed were in stock. And again, I emphasized that I needed them as soon as possible for my project before my order. She didn't even apologize to me for any delay. I politely made a request for the fastest delivery of the rest cones by email. She said that it only takes 35 minutes from Vancouver to the shop, and the fastest delivery costs $25.I emailed her to make a request for the fastest delivery again saying that I have a tight deadline for my project. She didn't reply. Instead of her reply, I got an email that the 3 black cones have been shipped on the Wednesday. She sent them via a regular mail. No reply, no explanation. I found this very unprofessional, irresponsible and rude. One of the worst costomer services I experienced.I will probably get the cones by tomorrow night (on Friday). On weekends, shops in school that require technicians are closed, so the delay really prevents my project from being done before the deadline.

I enjoy visiting the store. Very nice owner, always happy to answer my questions. Looking forward to using my new loom!

A ladies store for sure, with a nice local owner that was more than willing to supply lots of information, for the questions. Very knowledgeable on the topic, similar topics and most importantly, the up to date, history lesson. Busy place today and I got to see colourful yarn, fiber, buttons, fabric dyes, needles and weaving spinning stuff .... and baskets too. Thanks for the fun.

I love this shop - it has so many different yarns to choose from! Not only do they have yarn, but they also have tons of notions and knitting needles. The owner was so helpful with explaining what I would need to complete my lace shawl. Great place and such friendly service!
