I am delighted to inform that my experience at Downey Animal Hospital was amazing! The vetrinarian, Dr. Ravi, and the entire staff welcomed me and my kitten for our intial visit with genuine kindness and respect. I was given an appointment immediately on the same day that I called, when other vet clinics that I called, ignored my requests and could not accomodate me until one week later. Dr. Ravi took great care and interest with my 'unique' concerns and 'requests' regarding the kitten and the 'unusual' circumstances I found myself to be in. He provided excellent care, medical, nutritional and treatment information. He's the 'finest' vetrinarian I have ever had in all of my 50 years in owning and caring for my pets. I truly mean this! The entire staff was friendly, courteous and very organized. The clinic is very clean and well managed and provides excellent nutritional products. I was assured that should I ever require after-hour care or that in case of an emergency, or experience another unique circumstance with my pet, they would be available and only a phone call away. And of utmost concern, I found the fees for the care and services my kitten required and for follow-up care to be very reasonable and affordable, given the current inflationary market. My dear pets are as much a part of my family as my children and grandchildren. I brought my 5 year old cat here for the first time and if I need a vet again, I will definitely come back in the future. Dr. Rai and his staff were very kind, professional, and knowledgeable and the price was fair. Dr. Rai made sure my cat was comfortable during the whole procedure, which I appreciate so much. It's hard not to smile while you watch him handle your pet as he keeps the atmosphere light and positive. Just by being in the room, I can tell how much he truly cares for animals. Highly recommend this place for all your veterinary needs!

Dr Ravi Rai and his team at the Downey Animal Hospital are completely amazing! They saved my little Abbey's life, our beautiful 7 year old cat! We thought for sure we had to put her down because she had a couple large masses on her stomach and she lost tons of weight in a very short period of time. We assumed that she had cancer and that there was nothing that could be done. We were devastated to say the least as she means the world to us.I think any other veterinarian would have said that there was nothing that could be done, but Dr. Rai is not like any other veterinarian. He said that he didn't feel right to put her down before trying something first. He even covered some of the costs because he wasn't sure if it would work. He gave her some medication and monitored her closely every day, and even throughout the night.During her stay, all of the technicians and Dr Rai were so loving and caring towards her and ensured that all of her needs were being met. After a few days later, and to our surprise the masses disappeared and Abbey started to be her normal happy self again. Throughout her stay, Dr Rai always gave us updates, at least twice a day to let us know how she was doing. He even did extra x-rays and had her stay there longer, and even covered some of the expenses, because he wanted to ensure that what he was doing was working. He also figured out the root cause for her to become so ill, and recommended steps to prevent this in the future.We are so grateful for all that he did and his team of technicians. They are always so friendly, positive, helpful, and extremely knowledgeable. You can tell that everyone that works there are so passionate about helping animals and will do anything to help them. There are not enough words to describe how amazing they are at this animal hospital. They are also very affordable and truly care for the well being of the animals. They always go above and beyond our expectations! I highly recommend him and his wonderful team to anyone. Thank you for everything!

Dr. Rai is amazing. He is great with our big strong bouncy boxer and gives very straight forward service. If we don’t need something he tells us. Highly recommend Downey Animal Hospital!

Can’t speak highly enough about this place. You can genuinely feel the care from every staff member and prices are reasonable to care for your furry loved ones. Every time I’m there, there are several animals in for appointments and you can see the high quality care each of them are receiving. I feel my dog is in very good hands here.
