Cawthra-Elliot Eastate was built in 1926 and was residence of one the most powerful and wealthiest families in 19th century York (present day Toronto). Georgian style old mansion with heritage value is a historical landmark of Mississauga. The Eastate has beautiful landscaping. Former original landscape features have declined, and the surrounding Cawthra woodlot continues to reclaim the land with walking trails as Cawthra Park.In present days Cawthra-Elliot Eastate is a home for Byth Academy.
