By far the best cigar shop in the city. The way the owners take the time with you to figure out your palette and what you like to smoke is priceless. It’s nice that there are still shops like this in our city. I would recommend anyone to go here. New smokers or experienced.

I have been a cigar smoker for about 12 years. I don't like to move outside my comfort zone. I vastly prefer Cubans and if I smoke outside that, I tend not to stray too far (stick with Flor de Las Antillas or the Judge). I wanted to try something new and this place helped me immensely. The shop was well laid out and had a vast selection of all types of cigars to enjoy. They also have some great accessories to consider. But what impressed me most was the attention to detail. I wanted help to try something different that I would enjoy. I was greeted by Fred, who made me feel comfortable. He succeeded by trying to understand what I normally enjoy and assess what cigar might be best suited for me to select. He asked the right questions: Are you a frequent smoker?, What do you usually smoke and enjoy? What non-Cubans had I tried before? He did all this, without being intimidating...he wasn't trying to impress me with his knowledge, but rather really wanted to make sure I was happy with what I purchased. After my visit, I walked away with the strong impression that I will return as frequently as I can. Thank you, La Casa De Fuma!

Being a sporadic cigar smoker, I feel that if a memorable experience occurs during this pursuit , it is worth noting and likewise sharing with othersSuch was my experience with a niche cigar shop , ”La Casa De Fuma” (Yonge/York Mills) area.Allowing myself the indulgence of an occasional cigar (about 2 or 3 per year), and having visited this location previously, I found myself in the neighbourhood , and went in for “a look”.It was my good fortune to meet the proprietor of this establishment during my visit, all the time looking to purchase just 1 cigar. The gentleman was not only well versed in his knowledge with his “inventory’ but he also happened to be very “affable” and sympathetic as well.To make this “ long” story “short”, his final recommendation of a particular Nicaraguan “panatela “far exceeded my expectations both in being reasonably priced and likewise with having superior flavour and quality which matched exactly with my pre-conceived “objectives”.Likewise throw in the fact that he also guided me with selecting a suitable lighting apparatus for my 1 cigar, this made his assistance ‘full circle” and complete.Having felt such a positive experience ,a humble “thank you” is in order for this gentleman, and likewise I am happy to share my fulfilling experience with others , who might find themselves in the same circumstance.I would sum up by saying that “La Casa De Fuma’ surely deserves all the high accolades which it appears to be receiving from it customers.
