I’m not going to be coming to this barbershop anymore. It seems to me that its worth it to make the longer drive to my original barber, after this atrocious cut. I asked the barber to give me a high-mid fade with a drop in the back. The fade that was given to me, was poorly executed. I walked out of there feeling like my man put a bowl on top of my head and cut the sides and called it a fade. Secondly the fade is just too low to be called a mid-high. Please see the pictures of this fade below. You can clearly see the lines of where this man cut, there is basically no “fade”. A fade is supposed to reflect a decreasing gradient in hair length from top to bottom. As you can see from the pictures, my hair goes from long to shaven short, very abruptly. My man didn’t even attempt to blend the lines he made on my head. On top of this when i kindly asked him to fix the cut in specific spots he gave me attitude and refused to do it. Which indicates to me that the barbers here are lazy, don’t care about the quality of their work or satisfaction of their clients and feel entitled even after outputting poor results.

This is the best place in Toronto for Black People hair… I’ll recommend you to ask for or book Ingermar. She is an amazing barber. You will not be disappointed! This my hair was done by Ingermer. She is the best!

I’ve gotten haircuts from several different barbers there and I always end up lookin fresh. Its a very wholesome barbershop and I always feel very welcomed by the staff whenever I go there. Ive been to many different barbershops in many different countries and ONYX is faaar superior. Would trust them with my hair any day. Put some friends on it and they told me they got some of the best haircuts from there. The only downside could be the wait time but its defo worth it.

Great barbershop . I’ve seen maybe over 10 different barbers.. had an excellent experience with 8/9 of them .. always a great cut and lineup

First time going here today after getting a cut at another shop I wasn’t thrilled about. Dwayne fixed me up nice and is a real chill guy. The atmosphere of the shop was great as well. Will be back, thank you guys appreciate the work.

It was such a relaxing experience going through this new stage in life and my hair journey. My hair was damaged and falling out in the middle, so I decided to cut it off. Triston at Onyx Barbers was such a blessing. He saved some of the hair at the front and had such positive vibes and creativity. Thank you for the boost in confidence and the design. Blessings.

Disorganized, super long wait, unprofessional, just a really poor experience overall.I was on the waitlist for nearly two hours before I gave up and left; which is unfortunate because the last time I went my barber was great.I’ve never seen a barber shop charge to book in advance.
