I recently had the pleasure of visiting this Korean hair salon for a men's haircut, and I must say it was an exceptional experience.I forgot to book an appointment in advance, but they were kind enough to squeeze me into their busy schedule. Although I felt a bit guilty for walking in, the lady who did my hair assured me that walk-ins were welcome and that I might have to wait a bit, which was totally fine by me.Once I settled in, I was treated to a hair wash. It was so relaxing and rejuvenating, and it set the tone for the rest of my visit. The salon had a pleasant ambiance and comfortable chairs that added to the overall experience.The stylist, Soo-mi, (I think that's how it spelt) deserves special recognition for her exceptional skills. I showed her a picture reference, and she did an outstanding job of trimming my hair exactly as I had envisioned. She paid attention to every detail and took her time to ensure a precise and stylish cut. Thank you again!Throughout the haircut, Soo-mi engaged in friendly conversation, making me feel at ease and comfortable. She was not only skilled but also genuinely interested in providing the best possible service. Her professionalism and expertise made the experience all the more enjoyable.I left the salon feeling extremely satisfied and confident with my new haircut. I highly recommend this salon to anyone looking for a top-notch haircut and excellent service.Thank you to the entire staff at the salon, especially Soo-mi, for making my visit exceptional. I will definitely be returning for future haircuts! :)

I wanted to love this place but just had a terrible experience. After explaining what I wanted, I booked a 2.5 hr appointment for a cut and perm, and took half a day off work. When I got there, they were 20 mins late and didn’t know I was there for a perm. When I clarified and showed them pictures, they told me they couldn’t do actual curls, just loose wave perms. Why would they not clarify that before I booked? Or put that somewhere on their website? So frustrating and disappointing. Terrible customer service. Do not recommend.

I've gotten my hair colored at Momo three times now and I refuse to go anywhere else! They're extremely knowledgeable, they know exactly what they're doing, and they are super accommodating. Everyone who works in the salon are so respectful and nice and extremely gentle with your hair. The owner of the place Liz is so wonderful. They have always done exactly what I wanted for my hair - they never cut too short or dye it the wrong color. I'll never go anywhere else

*Providing an edit to my recent review* shown below. Unfortunately had to lower my rating.It has now been almost a week since my appointment at Momo's. They charged me $200 to dye my roots and after taking a look at my hair after one wash they didn't do they best colour matching job. My ends were brown while my roots were black. Now I learned I will have to re-dye my hair again, just to have a solid colour. $200 down the drain. After reading some of the other reviews they seem to be selective on who they give discounts too as well as who they respond to on Google. My head was itchy four days after the dye and they stained my forehead which also remained there for 4 days. Expected better after paying $200 for a service. Now I just feel like I was scammed out of my money.----I went to Momo's today and the atmosphere was lovely, all stylists were very lovely to speak with, took time to do a consultation on my hair and were very upfront about my hair, my past treatments and how because of them, they were unable to do a full japanese perm. I was thinking of doing only half, but when she showed me the price on the calculator I was a bit shocked. I think thats where my issue with the place was, its cost. I know its the Young and Eglinton area and the prices must be updated depending on clientele, area, etc but the prices do not reflect their websites whatsoever. When they were checking my hair they noticed my colour was uneven and since I decided on not doing my Japanese hair straightening I thought at least I would dye the top whites of my hair while I was there (not many). I paid $200 all in all for a root touch up, black hair dye, no bleach or anything. I do feel like I was jipped leaving the salon, especially when the website stated that a root touch up started at $100 and I do not have long or thick hair. The price for the Japanese permanent straightening for my hair (only three inches from root, so not even half) would be $400 where the website states $250+ for roots. I was prepared to leave the salon spending money, but I think what really frustrated me was there sales practices and not being honest on their website, and when your being put on the spot like that in a salon does not feel the best. The dye did sting after a bit, andmy scalp itches me right now (but its the same day so that might change). On a good note, the lady who washed my hair did an amazing job, and the woman who styled and curled my hair was so encouraging about curling my hair, it really felt nice. And the curls have lasted me until the night. People, atmosphere, lovely. Prices and transparency, not so much. Thanks Momo, but I think thats a one and done.

This is the second time Ive been to Momo for a digital perm. They have relocated to the 2nd floor with a very modern and spacious design. It was so comortable and beautiful with large round golden mirrors. Everyone was extremely nice and helped assist with my hair. Liz did my cut and performed the actual curls set up, so it was much more efficient and smooth. They gave a thorough consultation, weekday discount, and really enjoyable shampoo wash. Great results!!

Absolutely love this place. The customer service, the consideration of hair types, the price, the results and almost every aspect is superb. I was nervous because I have jet black hair. Absolutely love the gentle advice to discuss what can be achieved with my hair. I was consulted as well as checked on constantly. The ladies were so sweet. Pricing was transparent from the beginning. I look forward to coming here again. I am also excited for the completion of the upstairs relocation. Today it was a little noisy due to renovation upstairs but all that can be overlooked. Finally found “my salon”. Thank you ladies.

Came here because my cousin had her hair done here and it turned out nice. My situation was the complete opposite. They forgot about me with bleach in my hair. It was applied uneven as well so now the back of my head looks like I have horizontal patches of darker brown hair while the rest is blonde. I went to my old colourist to have it fixed but he said i have to wait because they bleached it too much and it need a break before more colouring.Would not recommend

Service is outstanding.They take your coat and belongings and hang them for you, help you into robes, give you refreshments and snacks while you're waiting.Very attentive amd hard working.Love the crew here and the stylists do an amazing job. Have gotten many hair dyes from them and love the cuts.Liz is my one and only stylist.
