Food Basics

Nice clean store, cashier was very patient with me because I forgot to download the app for a coupon. However I'm giving all Food Basics low ratings on account for not having self checkouts YET there are about 10 checkouts but one 3 in use!!! FOOD BASICS GET WITH THE PROGRAM AND GET SELF CHECKOUTS!!!!!! Your Steeles and Don Mills location literally makes me wanna cry!!

The best thing about food basic is it has all the things and there weekly flyers are really competitive and there is halal section as well so the store is good and staff is good as well.

This is a great Food Basics. Every time I go here, it is clean, well stocked, friendly, helpful staff and easy to get to by public transit. This trip, I went for sale items in the flyer, and they did not disappoint. I got everything I came for. It was a little busy at the registers. Otherwise, it was fairly quiet.

Good prices, they carry a lot of diverse products, clean and staff are generally nice

I tied to buy milk today at this store at 6:30 pm today. The price posted was $4.99 for 2L of Lactancia Milk. When I got to the cash the price came up as $5.19. The cashier at #7 said she would call for a price check but asked another cashier instead. She said the milk was not on sale. I said I would take a photo of the price tag and show her. I told to cash out the other customers so they would not have to wait. When I returned the customers were still waiting. I showed her the photos and she looked at all of them carefully. She said she had to ask her supervisor. I told to cash out the other customers and I would wait. She left. She returned and said the supervisor was coming. She finally cashed out the other customers when I asked her again. 15 minutes later I asked her when the supervisor was coming. She said she never said the supervisor was coming. Then she finally called for a price check. No one came. So I posted to Facebook. That was when a different cashier came over and said she would help me. The cashier#7 said to me ridiculous" as I left. The other cashier looked at the photo of the price tag and cashed me. She apologized for what happened. It took 30 minutes

its alright. you have to check if your items are expired as i have bought expired products before, but other than that its fine. they have some good deals.

Bought from the deli section, when I took it back to work and opened the lunchable the meat was white and clearly spoiled, when I went in the next day with the receipt and a picture they refused to give me my money back. Was I supposed to keep spoiled meat with me for an entire 24hrs?Funny thing is when I did go in the next day I checked out the lunchables but THEY HAVE MULTIPLE SPOILED PRODUCTS ON THE SHELF! Clearly they’re not refrigerating their products correctly while renovating the store. WATCH WHAT YOU BUY FROM THESE GUYS!

A well stocked, organized Food Basics at Scarborough neighborhood. It is also well kept and clean and also not very crowded. The produce and meat section is always full, albeit not many varieties. Products on sale are always good priced. Ample free parking is available.

Prices are great & staff are very helpful. The store is very clean & products easy to find. The baked goods & produce are always very fresh!

Timings mentioned for today’s date i.e. 22nd April, open till 9:00 pm, but when i reached around 8:04 they said its closed
