Frequent power outages. Automated telephone service is severely lacking. Really high prices. The only redeeming things are, they dispatch repair crews quickly and when you do get a person on the phone they are kind and efficient.

Power outage and no person to talk too. 12 hours and still waiting and they want to increase our rates in rural areas and yet we have longer wait times. I dont believe the money that goes into general revenue for city of Nelson equates to rural area increases for same service.

Something as important as utilities should not be so poorly run. Good luck getting on the phone with them and if you're lucky enough to get an email reply they will likely struggle to sort it in an efficient manner or at all. Not only do rural neighbours receive no revenues or benefits at all from Nelson Hydro they can't even absorb the cost of quality customer service.

Power falters way too often. It doesn't matter the season or weather at this point, power will go out and people left in the dark for hours. And you still gotta pay for the times you are without power.

Constant power outages, unreliable system. They are the only provider I can get and they are terrible. Any kind of inclement weather and I prepare for the inevitable power outage.

I’m always impressed with how quickly Nelson Hydro responds to outages. It always seems that when I’m just about to flick on the headlamp and bring out the Coleman stove I hear the fridge fire up and I get that sweet sigh of relief. Thanks Nelson Hydro!

Got my last bill there was a overpayment of 200$ went to get the overpayment and was told I had to wait til December has Nelson hydro held your money for ransom
