We hired Randy to complete a retaining wall and grade our yard. It started out great but he cut corners when installing the rock wall. When we addressed the issues he kept saying he would fix it but he didn’t show up.. he worked a total of 4 days and left without finishing. No explanation nothing.. he also kept asking for money. He took our money and left our yard in a disaster! He even left his garbage for us to clean up. After getting a second professional opinion, we found out our wall was installed incorrectly and had to be redone. He took 10,000.00 and gave no apology, had no accountability only that he would finish it but didn’t acknowledge any or the issue that needed to be fixed.Do not use him!

I wish I could tell you that they performed any service at all but they didn't. Our experience was this- Randy came by our house to pitch us a chance to build our back porch. He talked a really good game, dropped names that we mutually knew (who I found out later, had no idea who he was), and promised us the porch would be done by the end of November. He came by one more time to get us to sign the contract and we never saw him again. He asked for and received almost $10,000 from us( as per his payment/work schedule) and has not done one minute of work on our project. Once we got to be two weeks, then three behind schedule, we stopped paying Randy. Subsequent emails and texts asking for start dates on the project were met with promises of material deliveries the next week (not one thing was ever delivered and despite promises that the materials were waiting at Home Hardware, nothing was ordered) and that a team of guys would be by in a few days to get started. The excuses were that he was waiting for an engineer stamp on drawings ( we never saw drawings) and the permit process ( he never started the permit process). Calls to the city found that there were never any calls or inquiries about our property. There were a tonne of inconsistencies, promises, and stories that were later proven to be untrue. This went on until the last week of November. We started to suspect that we had been conned so we asked Randy for our money back. He told us that he would be taking expenses from the total amount. When we asked for evidence that there were any expenses, he had none and has since refused to communicate with us. We have called the police and they are involved. This has been a nightmare for us. . I would not want to see this happen to anyone else so please....be very careful. He is a really smooth talker and he will make it sound like he is very connected and that his company is bigger than it is. Most of the reno pics on his website are of his own house and the website hasn't had an active post since 2016. We will be pursuing every option open to us to get our money back but in the meantime, wanted to warn anyone out there looking for a contractor to do your research. BTW...the only reason I put one star here is because it wouldn't post unless you gave at least one star. My real review is No stars" for "no service"."
