I am at St. Catharines general. The wait times on line are so far off they are not even realistic. I have been waiting for an hour. Every time I check on line the wait time is 30 minutes. The times are updated every 15 minutes.

It was my 1st visit to Emergency in the last 7 or 8 years. Came to Emergency room around 12:30 P.M. (Wednesday) when the Wait Time on the display was 3 hrs. Left Emergency room at 8:56 P.M. !So, I spent there 8 hours and 20 minutes - no food or water.Unbelievable. Thanks God, I'm generally a healthy person.I didn't notice something out of the ordinary, like too many people - there were from 20 to 35 people waiting...The stuff was mostly friendly except for the Doctor who was not very polite (to say the least). I think there's plenty of room for improvement here starting with adjusting the protocol and ending with more efficient time management of the stuff... Simply saying, people ought to work faster. All in all - my experience was extremely negative. If need be, I would now call 911 rather than going through this torture again.

The story's I heard from my mom and aunts recent visit I could only give a 1 star, I would give a -5 star as I know our Healthcare is a failure when your parents are scared of going to the hospital due to mistreatment, rude over paid nurses, who want more money (hell with that) new hospital same miserable unprofessional staff. Next time I'll be seeking a alternative hospital as these ones aren't fit for caring for patients. Mom was left alone last night for a cab when a nurse was supposed to stay with her til ride and help her in. Since she did have a broken ankle from may when the paramedics dropped her back at home in May.

Hands down the worst care, some very rude staff and invisable disgruntled doctors and even the labs are slow and inaccurate. Over 24 hrs for a blood test. No ultrasound tech available???? In emergancy dept for population of 400,000 on a friday at 9pm?????I dont blame the staff for the failure anymore its the system. They dont care cause they dont have to care and still bank 70k a year. Plus overtime. All this $$$Yet The staff dont seem happy to be in emergancy dept.Watching 30 ems workers sitting in a circle waiting for hrs to get thier patient seen so they can go potentially save a life or what have you is worrying. And shows how broken everything is now...The current model for emergancy healthcare in niagara is beyond a diaster and not sustainable and possibley a charter violation or two...Time to stop blaming doug ford for your incompetence. AAlso the triage nurse had eyes closed and hands on the keyboard for 10 minutes at a time ...it was like watching a comedy movie seeing these people work" ....only people are hurt maybe dying.broken ankles

Went there last night for a sprained wrist.Everyone was nice and polite. For me the system was really ok, cos I’ve seen worst systems. It’s just a matter of the long waiting time ( we came in at 7pm and left at 12 midnight) But everything went well.I just hope there’s also a way to pay for the parking at the parking lot or online.Kudos to everyone at NHS for working so hard.

This hospital is trying to keep on top of multiple health issues. I have always found the staff very kind, considerate professional and helpful. It can be a slow process with waiting, but I knew they were all trying. Stay safe and thank your health care workers.

The nurse at triage wouldn't take the urine sample. Made us sit with it for four hours. Then when the doctor eventually saw us there was no urine resulted. So we sat for another few hours.

Everyone I dealt with treated me with respect and were very friendly. Although they were very busy with the rush of people, I got though registration and triage right away. Dr Molly was very through and I got the help I needed! Well done staff! Thank you so much!
