Sincerely hope Toronto can figure out a way to charge anyone from Ajax an exorbitant parking fee for ANYWHERE in Toronto. Elitism at its ugliest. Way to go Ajax. By the way were any provincial or federal monies used to build it?

WATCH OUT FOR A TRIGGER HAPPY BY-LAW OFFICER AROUND THE WATERFRONT. My friend and I parked at this parking lot on June 18 2022 and got ticketed for no lawful reason, he paid for the ticket using the POSTED QR Code on the sign in front of his parking spot. He got his ticket dismissed 2 days later.

It is a municipal parking lot, free for the public during weekdays, during weekends unless you are resident you have to pay. You have to pay through the city of Ajax. ( as today this is the info) check the city of Ajax website. In front this parking lot, passess the waterfront trail. There is a picnic table aside, garbage and recycling bins, and a couple benches near by, the scenery is beautiful and along the waterfront trail, there are people walking, riding a bike, jogging etc.

$20 parking!? Will never be visiting this park ever again.

Wow. 12 reviewers and only one comment on the exorbitant parking price. Must be locals. I understand why the hood wants the rest of us not jamming the park, streets and lot. But take one look at this street adjacent to the waterfront path and you'll notice one thing - it's ridiculously vast with just plain grass. Parking lots are a mere fraction of the entire area. It's not even used grass - soccer field, benches, landscaping, or even trees - just huge areas of mowing. The city can easily pave a bit more parking spots and lower the price of parking. $20 is borderline discrimination (and I'm not that liberal); at least have hourly options for people who just want to do a brief stroll or ride. The Great Lakes Waterfront Trail is 3600kms long, passing through many municipalities, whose residents all pay taxes to maintain their part of the trail so what's the argument for overuse of this section and having the need to limit it, because local tax payers have to pay for maintenance? Unless there's a safety concern or that the masses are jeopardizing the land/habitat from blatant disregard, there shouldn't be limits to a view or this natural land. No one owns this view or the lakeshore. This rule is a microcosm of the whole land governance issue with First Nations peoples. Privileged people who have power just don't want to share.
