Cheap and cheerful - better service now than in the past few years. Always a solid lunch choice when at the office.The seafood salad has octopus, pollock, smoked salmon and tobiko with wasabi mayo and Japanese dressing.The half order of spicy tuna sashimi is still decent, and the hand rollswere generously portioned.Miso soup also now has a nice amount of tofu and seaweed.

Awesome roll was really awesome. It surprised me. The other rolls were too loose. Takoyaki was average, the octopus filling was too small that I almost couldn't find it. Service was below average. They barely provide service at all. Nobody came to take our order after we sat down.

In my opinion it is one of the best Japanese restaurants in Burnaby , and I have been in severalother restaurants already .Menu is very good , service offered by Hyunjoo Kang was courteous, impecable , profesional and diligent …. Well done !!!We had a great time for lunch today .All dishes were well presented , fast service and very delicious , besides very affordable and generous portions.We had assorted sashimi , miso soup, house green salad , Wakame salad, chicken karage …….very deliciousIt is so far our preferred Japanese restaurant !!!

Take Out Order Review: The sushi looks presentable but that’s where it ends. Overall mediocre tasting sushi, most of the rolls were pretty bland or tasteless. The orders for Chicken Katsu and Ton Katsu were like dried congealed jerky almost like it was prepared many hours ago and left sitting but the salad part was fresh. The tuna sashimi was large which could be taken as a plus but was bland, spongy and strangely waterlogged.

Good sushi place near Brentwood.They used to be known for reasonable price, but with inflation, the price had gone up.It's one of the big sushi chain in Vancouver, so quality of food is pretty good.This location is especially big with lots of dining tables, but it seemed like this factor led to poor service.As the place is huge, it is really hard to get a hold of your servers, and they often forgot to give you the bill after your meal, so you have to go to the front and pay.Rather than that, food was good.

I used to dine in at sushi garden a lot back before the delivery companies showed up.The restaurant was less than half full when we got there so we got a seat right away for 3 people.Sushi prices have drastically gone up by $1.5 to $2. Ordered quite a few varieties of sushi and it came pretty fast. They had lots and lots of take out orders stacked to the side.The quality of our sushi rolls were quite good as they didn't fall apart like they used to.I quite enjoyed it and would probably dine in more often if I'm nearby since there isn't likely a wait anymore.

Korean owned 2nd restaurant of the old school first generation “big generous sashimi portion” sushi place that first started as a 6 table little sushi place outside metro town. The brand invented “big portion sashimi” in Vancouver.Portion wise still lives up to the hype but with the recent price increase the CP value has surely dwindle a bit.

I was in doubt about giving 3 or 4 stars! Tried salmon and tuna sashimi, the Tuna was still frozen inside, the salmon was good. They didn’t have low sodium soy sauce that was not expecting from such sushi restaurant.

Good place for affordable sushi and Japanese eats! Have taken out from both the Brentwood and Highgate locations, and the consistency is there. Called the order in and it was ready in 20 minutes. The medium party tray feeds 2-3 people and has a decent selection of rolls and sushi. Our favourite is the chopped scallop roll. The size of the tuna and salmon (on the sushi, and in their sashimi) is quite large. Not the highest quality, but fair and definitely worth the value. Will definitely be back!
