Rescue Me Canine Training

I can’t say enough about Jeff’s training! He very succinctly demonstrates how to remedy each challenge and sets you on the journey of having great relationship with your dog. I’m looking forward to his YouTube channel!!

Jeff has been a great resource any time I have any concerns or questions. He loves dogs and you can tell he really cares to see them succeed and coexistence a wonderful life with their humans!Not only has he given me great advice when we first got our pup but also now I have been able to seek his support as we realize we now have a sensitive and reactive GSD and need to do some counter conditioning regarding other dogs and vehicles. We are already seeing success and have the tools needed!Jeff has a common sense approach and is quite researched in the techniques he provides. Amazing patience and his experience shows as he easily demonstrates and gives helpful examples for situations that one can encounter with your reactive pup. Would definitely recommend!!

I contacted Jeff after I got a young male rescue dog that I discovered had not been leash trained and was being very reactive to other dogs on leash (and of course with social distancing and covid-19 that was not helping). Even though I have a fair bit of experience with medium-large dogs, I felt it would be a very good review for me especially since I never experienced this amount of reactivity.The dog and I had a very worthwhile session with Jeff, of course all hands off due to covid-19, and I saw Improvement fairly quickly with incorporating what Jeff had shown me.As well, I appreciated the additional information that he emailed out following the lesson.I highly recommend Rescue Me Canine..

Jeff is very knowledgeable and was able to assess our dog right away. He educated us and provided a great plan to help calm our dogs fears and reduce his reactivity. Really looking forward to continuing training our dog with Jeff's help & expertise!

Thank you Jeff for your help with training my dog. The one on one session you provided has already bore fruit with my dog's behaviour. I didn't realize how effective counter conditioning could be until I saw the results (my dog is starting to react to other dogs much better on walks). She's still a long way to go in terms of progress, but I can tell that the training is working.I would recommend Jeff to anyone that thinks their dog's behaviour can improve, even if it's not severe. And hearing what Jeff can determine from your dog's body language is actually very helpful for all types of situations, not just problematic ones.

Jeff was fantastic in his method of both training and explaining the WHY behind the training methods. In the sea of information that is out there, his approach aligned with how I wanted to teach and treat my Weizsla puppy Clover.He de-mystified some long held, but false beliefs, made things very simple to understand from both a dog's point of view and he had tangible examples that we humans could relate to. Only 2 lessons so far, but Clover has come so far in that short time. I really feel that she has got a great foundation to start from now. I've got work ahead of me, but now it's focussed work, with purpose and clear goals in mind.For the happiness of my pup, and for my own sanity, he delivered excellent value in a very short time. I have only had one session with Jeff, and it has only been 10 days but the COMPLETE CHANGE in my dog during this time is beyond what I could have imagined. I called Jeff as a last resort for my 5 year old dog who had just been reported to the CRD for biting and who has had fear and aggression for years. I learned so much in an hour and a half I wasn't sure I was going to be able to remember all of it. My dog is now (already!) completely able to be outside while the neighbour's dogs are on their side of the fence. He can even happily be around my friend's very energetic and a bit unpredictable kid who has autism and who used to be a major trigger. He is already restraining himself when he sees a usual trigger, all on his own even without my reinforcement! He even held back from lunging at a friendly neighbourhood cat!!! All of our lives are so much improved because of this and I cannot thank Jeff enough!!

A big THANK-YOU to Jeff of Rescue Me Canine Training for his help with our new puppy Louie. We are a busy family with 3 young boys and we were completely overwhelmed with all of the puppy info when our new little guy joined our family! Jeff helped us get started with crate training, house training and puppy socialization and helped us navigate issues like nipping and biting and leash pulling in our sessions. Jeff was amazing at including our boys in the sessions so they had a clear understanding of what to expect with a puppy in the family and it made them feel empowered to help do the training with Louie as well!Jeff is extremely knowledgeable and experienced and it was amazing to watch his calm and patient demeanour in our sessions. Jeff's positive reinforcement approach to training has helped set our puppy up with good habits from the start and Louie has settled into our family seamlessly. Jeff has taken us from overwhelm to confident puppy owners and we couldn't be more grateful. Jeff, we can't thank-you enough!!

We had a first training session with Jeff and I really liked his genuine interest in helping us out. He had patience and allocated lots of time to listen to all my concerns and answer all my questions. He practiced some counter conditioning moves with us with his wonderful dog and provided all the material I need to start our training. He offered also additional material to help us out, like links of videos, detailed notes for training, and readings. He suggested also some supplements that could help reduce my dog anxiety when meeting other dogs. I also liked that Jeff did not push to have other sessions straight away, rather told me to let him know in a couple of weeks how it goes. He really focused on giving me and my dog all the possible support for us to start our training journey. And big plus, my dog really loved him!

We had Jeff spend a couple of hrs with our six month old Leonberger, who loved him. Jeff is very knowledgeable and personable. Using his technique on leash pulling corrected our pup after two walks using it. I would highly recommend Jeff to anyone looking for an expert trainer who loves dogs and has fun with them.
