Really want to like this place given the limited amount of chinese hotpot/bbq up in Newmarket/Aurora, but unfortunately the food and service here just wasn't it...Food took a while to arrive even tho they weren't too busy, and they totally forgot about our skewers - we had to remind them after nearly finishing the two dishes.The casserole and shrimp (椒盐虾) tasted decent, but portions were on the smaller end.The skewers were either tasteless or over seasoned, and had to wash it down with water after each bite, that's how salty they were.Definitely won't be returning nor recommending their bbq menu, but may try their hot pot or dim sum given the slightly better reviews...

Good value if you can take advantage of the Monday - Friday early bird special. Sitting may not be comfortable for dim sum as they are mainly for hotpot at night but still manageable. I have no complaint for the price we paying. Will definitely be back to try bother dishes. Finally a good dim sum restaurant up in Newmarket. You may need to expect a wait for food.. I wonder if it was from frozen but they for sure get it hot and ready. Deep fried dishes are fresh and hot too.

Finally, Authentic DIM SUM in Newmarket! Rain or Shine Restaurant in the No Frills Plaza at Davis and Yonge. They have Dim Sum in the morning, authentic Chinese dishes for lunch and AYCE Hotpot at night. They do have early cheap dim sum, so all S, M, L options are same price until 11. We've been there a couple of times and have been quite impressed, especially with their dim sum. The dishes come out hot and are quite delicious, definitely comparable to other restaurants in Markham.By the way, they have Har Gow (shrimp dumpling dim sum) on special right now for $2.99 per order, that's 4 Har Gow's for $3. Can't beat that. The staff there are friendly and we'll definitely go back. The restaurant is a bit hidden, it's beside Fabricland in the plaza. Highly recommend. Oh yeah, Lobster noodles for $13.99 and BBQ lamb skewers are $4.99 for 4, these are the other specials they have on right now. Took a picture of the flyer to share. Enjoy!

Such a sweet date night idea! There was lots of options, the staff were super helpful and engaging, and the food was delicious! The owner even took the extra time to show us how to properly do hot pot, including making us his own delicious dipping sauce.

The ox tail in tomato soup was absolutely delicious - the soup base was the best I've ever had and the ox tail was so tender. The fish in the fish soup was also really good - it was really peppery and there was lots of fish meat. The decor was very nice and the waitress was very friendly. It's also a great value for lunch - make sure to check out the lunch special offers! Highly recommend!

Pleasantly surprised with their food quality, and reasonable prices. Dim sum is fresh and delicious, both for steam and deep fried items. Their menu looks extensive with hot pot options, lots of food items to choose from. Staff is well trained, polite, and owner is very friendly. Definitely recommend anyone to give this place a try.

I was so excited to eat dim sum at a new restaurant in my hometown but walked in and no one was at the counter to seat my family for their $4.88 dim sum festival promo. You order through a Samsung tablet (not on paper like most) and after you order, they take the tablet away. You have to ask the server for the tablet if you want to order more. They also have 1 robot that helps serves the dishes to your table which can take long but the server did say dim sum is steamed to order.The steamed rice noodle with shrimp, crispy squid tentacles, chicken feet, and soup dumplings weren’t that good. My family suggested we buy our own and steam ourselves. They also charge $2 for tea. We thought it was bad compared to restaurants we’d regularly dine at in Markham or Toronto.
