Vera's Burger Shack
Burger and onion rings excellent and smoked meat sandwich. Turkey sandwich very dry sent back and exchanged for roast beef. Huge amount of meat on both. Chicken sandwich is whole chicken breast fillet in half. Place has nice tables inside a butcher shop. You can sit down have lunch & take something home to cook for dinner. Can buy Vera burger patties to BBQ at home. Great place to try.

We went here for lunch, wrote down what we wanted and ordered it. I had the Turkey burger with a chocolate milkshake, it was too small. We shared the fries. It tasted delicious. It wasn’t too busy.

We had a smoked meat platter. The meat was very tough. The fries were excellent and lots of great coleslaw. .Service was great!!

I haven’t found a better burger in Ottawa. Uncomplicated, straightforward, grilled burgers; with gourmet quality. Made with the freshest meat they butcher on-site.

Vera's Burger Shack
Went for the first time today based on all the positive feedback from friends and colleagues. Ordered the Vera Burger, Onion Rings and a Chocolate Milkshake. The burger was messy in a good way. The onion rings and chocolate shake were outstanding. I really want to try their hot dog next time. Looked amazing!

It's always a joy to go there. The staff is super friendly with exceptional customer service.I always invite my friends who's looking for a good burger there.Other menu items are great choice too. I tried the smoked meat and kosher hot dog and poutin. My friend always go for either the burger or rostbeaf sandwich.I definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a real burger.

Old school order process and the tastiest burgers. The mountain of fries were also most delicious but enough for two. Simple atmosphere and we stayed for an extended time visiting undisturbed. worth a visit for a snack. Oh ya, you can also pick up your meat supplies after you eat from the excellent butcher shop.

The lineup was long but it moved pretty quickly. Smoked meat sandwich was delicious, lean and flavourful, piled nice and thick. The fries had absolutely no taste whatsoever. The coleslaw was really good and the pickles looked like they had been sliced and sitting around for weeks. Soooo, mixed review, if you’re going for the smoked meat it’s worth it, the add ons not so much
