9 year update - back entrance door, sill & trim rotted out. Water pools on the floor during rain. Prestige will do nothing. Do not buy from Stones.6 year Update. Our lovely home now has 1/8-1/4 inch cracks where outside walls are separating from inside walls. Highly visible cracking above all doorways but one. Skirting needs to be continually replaced as panels blow away....this required a custom order of an entire box of panels when so far we have needed 13 panels. We didn’t choose this design and it is not a common one.Stones hired the cruddy on site contractors who installed our home, secured it, installed a discontinued heat pump and installed skirting that disappears in the wind.Beautiful home (built by Prestige).Horrible year long experience with Stones before home was delivered. Delivery date fiasco cost an extra $1000. Danielle is the owner’s daughter. No recourse if she misleads you or is rude, and she knows it and she’ll tell you so. Heat pump died 4 years after installation. Come to find out, unit was discontinued before it was ever installed in our brand new home thus parts are not available for repair. Cost extra $5000. You can buy a Prestige Home from many dealers. We love our Prestige Home. Please don’t buy anything from Stones.

I had the pleasure of working with Danielle at Stone's, to design a custom mini home. She was incredibly organized, informative & helpful throughout the whole process. Greg & Lorrie were also excellent in communicating, leading up to the arrival of the mini home and once it was delivered. Their sub trades were also very polite and friendly. I am thrilled with how the final product turned out, I would recommend Stone's to anybody looking to purchase or design a mini home!

Dealing with Stones has always been a rewarding experience. Purchasing a new home from start to finish can be stressful but Danielle and her team were there helping us every step of the way. No matter how big or small the question was, they were there for us. I would recommend them to anyone in a heart beat.

Creating your own home is never an easy process but the group at stones made it relatively simple. Yes there were ups and downs but communication was simple and effective from them. With so many moving parts for getting people into their homes (especially post pandemic) the group did a fantastic job. The on-site crew were great in getting tasks done during a busy time , as well as keeping us in the loop and giving allowing us to have input with decisions. We are happy with our outcome and would certainly recommend to others in the future.Thank you stones!

This company is ‘The Absolute Best’ to deal with: company staff are highly competent , courteous, and quite knowledgeable. I needed a through understanding of the entire process from planning to permits to design changes. They handle it all. And their homes are superb in quality and finishes. They are the top of my list for my future build. And Danielle and Lorrie were great! Deb C-L, Charleston, SC

Chantal, Greg, Lorrie and the entire staff at Stones were wonderful to deal with and very supportive through the entire process of buying our Prestige home. Despite the bad timing and impact of Hurricane Fiona and the resultant delays with connection of power, the staff at Stones were continually adjusting and accommodating support as needed to get us in our beautiful new home as quickly as possible. Their flexibility, understanding and support through the challenges of delays beyond their control exemplified their commitment to customer care. Greg and Chantal kept us well informed through all steps of the process and we finally settled into our beautiful new home shortly before the holiday season. We would highly recommend Stones for anyone considering a manufactured home as a ready solution to affordable housing.

**update, I have been blocked from Stone’s Facebook so my review can’t tag them. Although Stones commented on this review no one from Stones has contacted me since posting this. This will be a lengthy review but an honest one.To start I was offered $1200 in a “Goodwill gesture” but was not allowed to write an honest review nor criticize this company in any way. I did not accept it as I felt it was important to share my experience. If you only see positive reviews, that’s most likely the reason. Most are made to sign NDAsWe purchased “the Windsor” home from stones prestige. We worked with Chantal who was wonderful. The home building process went ok. We worked with Greg, we couldn’t really visit the site often. There were things we found to be lazy work done by the crew here, we heard the phrase “it’s to code, but poor practise” a few times after having other construction professionals go through the home. The layout plan we used (a Stone prestige design) had an unfinished second floor. In winter we couldn’t heat the home past 17 degrees We had 2 young kids and I started calling and emails in January. Someone was sent a few months later and insulation was missing from door frames (3 inches in some areas)At this point I was dealing with Danielle who I found condescending, unfriendly and unhelpful. Our power bills were above $1000 as our baseboard heating was constantly running. They did send Atlantic home warranty to do a third party unbiased inspection ( Not sure how unbiased a company can be if it has a long standing job with a home building company) it was a warm non windy day and he could not find any drafts. We then got sent to Cristan Torcat who would be someone from Prestige homes in New Brunswick. After a few months he determined it was because of the house design (the upstairs being unfinished)We had a problem with this as we were sold this design from Stones and not once did they warn us that we would not be able to heat our home. When I brought up this to Crista Webber she said “they probably assumed you knew that” Also all winter the upstairs had heat on and did not get warm.At the time of this we had started to finish our upstairs area and the carpenters discovered massive cold air coming in from the attic because the Vapor barrier on the framing was not acousti sealed to the floor, anywhere in the whole upstairs. All the cold attic air was coming in. The carpenter could not believe that our home was left like that.Cristan said about this“The knee walls are installed and insulated on site. This would be a site finish process, so it would fall under Stones responsibility.A gasket should have been installed under the bottom plate, but it can still be sealed by spray foaming the area that needs sealing.”This was a responsibility of Stones. I wish I could describe the stress and worry these heating issues gave us. We were brushed off for months, told we were using the air exchange wrong, basically not believed. So from January til now we finally got the final answer and it was an NDA and $1200.They sold us a home design that they said couldn’t hold heatThey missed a major part of work in not sealing the Vapor barrier to keep the cold attic air out.The quality of the work by Stones was below grade. I would not recommend them, and any customer service you get after you pay them is quite different than the planning stages. When I asked them to help pay our power bills Danielle suggested we go on a payment plan with Nova Scotia power. I have spoken to other people in our small community in Cape Breton that have also had very very bad experiences with corners cut and bad customer service after the final payment was made. I made a social media post and had inbox messages about homes Prestige built that had failed them.I just hope my review will help the next family that considers them. If you do decide to go with them I would suggest visiting the construction site often and double checking all of their work. Please feel free to message me on social media for more information.

From the first phone call to a beautiful finished home my customer experience with Stones was superb. Chantal and team were always client focused, positive minded and accomodating to my needs. The mini-home has exceeded my expectations, it's an airtight, well insulated space with a custom layout and a modern, elegant finish. Greg the project manager was also excellent for all the onsite work and was available to attend to every detail and helped clear obstacles to progress. Overall a great team and a good value product.

Purchasing our home at Stones was a perfect experience from the moment we first walked into their office to receiving our keys. Their entire team went above and beyond our expectations which were admittedly high. They allowed us to be as hands on/off as we wanted throughout the entire process which worked perfectly for our busy lifestyle. I want to personally thank Danielle, Lorrie, Greg, Rob and his team for getting us into our dream home.

Our relationship with Stones started after we found a slice of Heaven on the Northumberland Strait. Finding the land was the east part; building a home from the ground up, from clear across Canada, was WAY outside of our comfort level. Finding Stones in New Glasgow, and specifically Chantal, was the answer to our prayers. We needed someone who was willing to hold our hands and take baby steps with us as we made the biggest investment of our lives. Chantal did that. We needed someone to remain calm and look for solutions when the inevitable issues cropped up. Chantal did that. We needed complete transparency; to trust our contact and know that she would not take advantage of our vulnerability. That was Chantal. One year later, we are living in a dream that Stones helped us to co-create.I have recommended Stones to everyone I know who is thinking of taking the same route as we did. They made a very scary and unpredictable process (COVID/supply chain issues) transparent, manageable, and ultimately, successful.I HIGHLY recommend Stones Presteige Homes.
