When aspects of your birth blue print change and alter. Asha was there to support us in honoring our birth wishes as much as possible. Our home water birth with fairy lights and candles shifted to a hospital birth. Having our birth environment change wasn’t what we wanted but Asha was able to recreate the ambiance that was supportive of our birth wishes. She encouraged us to use the shower and came with fairy lights and battery candles.This meant so much to me and helped me to feel calm and comfortable in the new birthing location. Asha’s calm, reassuring and supportive energy was exactly what we needed to get through our labor and delivery. We highly recommend hiring Asha as your doula.

Sonya was incredible & we are so grateful for her support throughout our journey. Having relocated to Canada from Australia without a support network in Edmonton, we investigated having a doula to aid in navigating an unfamiliar healthcare system. Upon researching, we found Sonya & immediately knew we were fortunate to secure her as our Doula.Sonya has a warmth & calming persona & is a wealth of knowledge, through years of experience & drawing on evidence-based research. With her flexibility in completing the beneficial pre-natal sessions, along with expanding our understanding & techniques of managing labour at home (prior to hospital arrival), it gave us confidence of birthing without an epidural or analgesia which we otherwise wouldn’t have considered. After our boutique private hospital experience in Western Australia, for delivery of our first-born son, which included a four-day inpatient stay for an uncomplicated birth with an epidural, we certainly had to shift our mindset of delivery in Canada. As such, any apprehension was alleviated as a result of Sonya’s amazing input. Sonya had empowered us, especially me, which was evident during labour, when I was able to draw on these various strategies, essential when the onset of labour was so rapid it resulted in barely arriving to the hospital in time for the birth of our beautiful baby boy.Sonya was available to answer any queries, no matter how trivial & was beyond amazing post-partum in those weeks to follow. Words truly can’t reflect how thankful we are for having Sonya part of our journey & made an otherwise daunting experience absolutely positive in every aspect, even with our little ones very memorable entrance that will be a story for years to come!We’re convinced that engaging a Doula is almost essential & have already discussed the potential for Sonya to be our doula once we return to Western Australia, if we considered expanding our family. We’re thankful for Sonya being part of our journey. She is kind soul who will always show compassion, knowledge & ongoing-support tailored to suit your birth journey.

I feel that she went above and beyond for us, she was warm and kind and above all else she made me feel valid as a fat pregnant person. I was on the fence about hiring a doula at first but I'm so glad we did, we wouldn't have been able to navigate our difficult" midwife situation without her. Sonya was our doula for both of our children and I can't say enough great things about each experience we had with her! She is so knowledgeable on such a vast array of topics relating to pregnancy, birth and postpartum, and anytime I needed help with something, she gave valuable insight. I would highly recommend Sonya as she truly makes this wonderful and complex journey less stressful. I felt more prepared and confident before, during and after birth, and I know my husband was also so appreciative of the amount of help Sonya was. Overall, I can say our experience was made 100x better having Sonya as a part of our birth team and we are deeply grateful to have found her!

I began my search for a doula because my husband and I do not have family nearby and I was looking for a support person who could help me through the journey of giving birth. Asha Thomas was an immediate fit and I found her to be a very calm and reassuring presence. She prepared us for the birth using both in person and virtual sessions as the COVID situation was evolving.On the day my daughter was born, Asha arrived at the hospital just as my contractions were beginning to intensify. She calmly prepared the room with soft lighting and music because she knew I had wanted a home birth and did her best to create that safe space for me. She even covered the clock so I would stop obsessing over the length of the labour!She was the perfect balance of support for both me and my husband and seemed to instinctively know how to balance the situation. She communicated our wishes to the hospital staff and took over when I wasn't able to communicate once the birth progressed.I am so grateful that Asha was there for us and she supported us in ways we really could not have anticipated. After the birth the nurses commented that she was one of the best doulas they had seen. She visited us postpartum and answered all my questions and even provided recommendations on breastfeeding.A few days later, Asha shared a few photos she took while I was in labour and right after our daughter arrived. I wasn't even aware she was taking them at the time but I cherish those photos now because they are a keepsake of the day. I was so out of it at the end and they are a comfort now that allow us to relive the best parts of the birth.We would highly recommend Asha for her calming presence, her knowledge and for the above and beyond support she provided both before and after the birth. Meeting Asha and having her be a part of this journey was the best decision we made and we are ever thankful!

Where to begin? I used full circle for both my deliveries - Doula, Sonya in particular displayed an immense level of professionalism, care, kindness and passion throughout my pregnancies, deliveries and post partum period. I had uncomplicated, natural unassisted deliveries and having Sonya by my side is a huge part of that. My husband and I felt so cared for and advocated for throughout our pregnancy and delivery. Especially during our last when coviid seemed to put forth new stressful concerns. My last labour was quick and Sonya (as a result to restrictions) made it into my delivery in the nick of time. I remember, even still a HUGE sigh of relief when she walked through the door. Her warmness, knowledge and confidence put me immediately at ease. My husband too states Feeling so relieve when she walked in the door. We were able to build such a rapport and relationship with Sonya, its seriously irreplaceable! Sonya will forever hold a special place in our hearts and perhaps we’ll have to have more kids just to have her by our sides again! Xoxoxo

So thankful for all of the support and guidance that Sonya provided us! She was a constant during our labour and birth experience and always made us feel safe and supported. I hope our paths cross again in the future.

I really believe that every family could benefit from hiring a doula. Sonya is caring, gentle, and full of wisdom about birth, pregnancy, and poatpartum. We had a beautiful home birth and from the moment she stepped into our house, I felt a calming, womanly presence and that I was well supported and taken care of. Having someone you connect with present for you and your family during birth is truly and amazing gift. She not only supported me but my husband too. After I gave birth, she prepared us food and made me feel like a queen in my own home. She offered prenatal education and birth pool rental in her fee which was also amazing. Postpartum she came by to take my son's footprints and had presented me with a thoughful gift bag that included lactation cookies, tea and a personalized letter with time stamps of the events of the birth. If you are looking for a doula who has a wealth of experience, is holistic in her approach, and is calm and thoughtful- I highly recommend Sonya!

At the beginning we were not sure if it is worth it to hire a doula or not .It was our first pregnancy and first baby .My husband and me were inexperienced and worry about overall labour process and all it is surprises.After doing our researches we decided on contacting Full Circle Birth Collective doulas .We were fortunate enough to get Sonya as our doula . Her knowledge, passion , patient and support were beyond what we expect .She made me mentally , emotionally ready with her thorough childbirth classes , ultimate support and recommendation during my 3rd trimester period . Then the big day came and she arrive at hospital before us . She was by my side whole time , helped me going through excruciating labour pain , cope and managing naturally .I am sure my whole labour experience wouldn’t be same without her .I highly recommend Sonya to any pregnant families who are searching for extra support. And I know I won’t go for any future labour without her.
