Budget Box Guy

Just drove 1 hour to pick up boxes from this store based on Kijiji add. When we got there he stated all those boxes were sold. Stated he’s tried to take add down. Last time I checked it would take 2 minutes to pull an ad.Felt completely scammed by this person.Would not recommend this store.

Shopping for boxes for work and the two guys here where fantastic. Super friendly and easy to work with. Found exactly what I needed and was very easy to talk to both of them. The young man put my materials in my car and everything. Highly recommended if you need moving materials.

The worst customer service!! I arrived at 9am which According to google is their opening hours. After 10 mins of waiting for the door to open i decide to call. He answers the phone “yup” umm is this not a business? He rudely tells me google must be old hours and they’re open 11-5 I head back around 2:30 the other guy helping looks confused when i mention Plastic box rental for moving. Even though on the website you can pre pay( i chose not to because i wanted to get a visual on the size of the boxes so I’d know how many i would need. ) well thank god! Because i go up front with the gentleman so he can ask about rentals. The owner Rudely tells me nope not an option, if you want boxes you can buy them or get cardboard. Then starts on a rant about COVID and Costco etc! What a waste of time!!! If you don’t offer the service why is there an option to pay online and have them delivered?? Or how bout when i called you shortly after 9am maybe mention them it’s not a service that’s available!?!There are other companies out there still offering it today, i do understand COVID protocol but what the hell happened to customer service? All the while they other guy just finished telling me they sell furniture.. i wouldn’t give them a dollar at this point!! Had that played out different im sure they would have made a pretty penny but i can’t support rude, smug business owners who have a can’t be bothered attitude!

Visited this location a few weeks ago to pick up some mirror boxes. Received exceptional in-store support from Dan who went above and beyond to help me out. I'm very grateful for his excellent service!

What a joke. They dont have stock of barely anything. When challenged why they would advertise items they don't have (they list on Kijiji and Marketplace), or update their website to state no stock, I was told 'why would we?' If you feel like driving all the way for nothing, this is the go to place in Calgary!Response to your reply: We were two customers, not one. Dont stress I'll use my other account to leave a review if that's suitable. I asked you, why not update your website and say what's in stock or not as the ads is misleading. You reply and said, 'why would we shoot ourselves in the foot?'... now that sums it up for me... As for Covid, I get, but is no excuse for bad business practices. To clarify, you stock new and used blankets, of that you also list light and heavy duty blankts under both categories (thats 4 products). You had 1 of the 4 in stock.

Very courteous and enthusiastic about their products, went in and was quickly assisted with rubber mats I had found through marketplace. They even loaded them into my car for me!

I went to Budget Box Guy a few times to pick up moving materials for my move and each time I was given wonderful service. They are well stocked and their prices are very reasonable! Friendly and knowledgeable service! I definitely would recommend this establishment for all your moving needs!

I WOULD GIVE THESE GUYS A 0 IF I COULD. All I can say is that they are a bunch of crooks! They have different prices advertised in store and different prices advertised on Kijiji which clearly states *You must mention this ad to receive these prices*" So I gave them a call to ask for a price

BIG TIME ATTITUDE. NOT SURE WHY HE IS STILL IN BUSINESS WITH THE WAY HE TREATS PEOPLE. HE WAS SO RUDE AND A BUSINESS OWNER SHOULD TREAT THEIR PURSPECTIVE CUSTOMERS WITH RESPECT, BUT NOT HIM.... he actually yelled at me rather rudely. never again would i recommend this business person" or his business. Very good pricing ! I highly recommend shopping around to find the type of bed you want then when you go there you can give them the bed and just buy it. Store is super small so you can’t lay on all the beds you want. They have an incredible website with so many skus. Do your research then go and buy it from these guys. I would say they have the best pricing in the city. Two guys are hilarious that run the store. Al is a tad fast when speaking which some what overwhelmed me but still was able to find the perfect king sized bed and they helped me load it into my car. :)
