Royal Tea House

This establishment is located inside the dragon city mall. My first impression was great, bright layout, modern and inviting design. We ordered, brown sugar Earl Grey, milk tea with pearls, rose oolong with cheese. All of the drinks were amazing except for the cheese in the drink as it isn't my type. The tea quality was superb, the sweetness was perfect even for a regular portion.This is so far, the only place that doesn't make me feel bloated after drinking compared to other locations. I would go back again to try new drinks.

I've had the Royal Tea House's House Milk Tea with Pearls". It's the best tasting milk tea of any bubble tea places in Calgary. My wife had one as well and she loved it. So

Not THEE greatest bubble tea place in YYC chinatown but if ur looking for one that doesnt go crazy on the sugar then this place is for you! I went with my dad for his birthday today, he ordered a mango soba and i the roasted brown tea. Mine was a weak mix. My dad did enjoy his coconut flavoring tho. Place seems clean but the table counter out front seems crowded. They have a space in the back for private events but no wall, just a divider. Some seating room midway thru. Not a bad location inside the mini shopping mall.

Really love their Mango Sago! And their fruit teas are all pretty good too! I really like how Bubble tea places can adjust the sugar level now. I personally don't like things that are too sweet and this feature is the best! All the drinks are made perfectly and very delicious! I would come back to try their other drinks. One thing I did get their egg waffles, personally it was too sweet for me.

Friendly atmosphere and friendly owners , the royal milk tea was great. Love it not being so sweet. Was cool to hear some live Chinese music. Not my style, but interesting but don't know the language

I have to say - I've tried lots of Bubble Tea places, especially from the big ones like Gong Cha. None of them were good. For the longest time, I really don't know what the hype is, especially when there's a lineup outside of Center Street downtown Chinatown in Calgary a couple of years ago for Gong Cha. I was so disappointed.Now in 2021, I got my first few tastes of the bubble teas and bubble fruit drinks at the Royal Tea House and I'm totally impressed! The regular bubble tea was tasty, the best I've had. I had the Peach Passion Fruit bubble and the Lychee Jelly versions as well. Wow, it was nice - not too sweet as it is natural flavors. My daughter had the Strawberry Bubble Tea and she said it was really nice with real strawberries. I also had the opportunity to try the Cheese Matcha with Red Beans. My God, that was so delicious!If it wasn't for the location of where this store is in the heart of Chinatown and in Dragon City Mall, I would be going there frequently. This pandemic definitely make it hard to go to the Royal Tea House since I'm working from home most days. I had a chance to talk to the owners and they're super nice and receptive to suggestions to improve. From the drinks I've had thus far, the Royal Tea House beats all the other bubble tea houses in Calgary! I really recommend anyone to try this place out.

The cups are so cute and so reliable!Drinks are decent. Wait times are a bit long. Service is friendly and attentive! Lots of seating for a bbt place, and very clean!You actually get quite a bit for the drink and the taste is alright. I had the Royal Milk Tea and would have liked a bit more flavour.The price of the super fresh fruit one is a bit too much. Not a super large drink and just a lot of fruit in it. Not worth $8, but was tasty.The work for hot and cold drinks! I see them being very reusable so if they ever want to implement a “reuse discount”, that would be so environmentally friendly and great!

Tea house has plenty of options inside the Chinese mall. Seems like good tea but the red bean teas are the most vile thing I have ever tasted. Literally. I simply do not understand how that flavor is an option. The mango strawberry was great though!

The fresh milk Strawberry drink with Strawberry jam, it was very gross. The jam was hard and didn't mix well at all. It was basically drinking 2 percent milk.
