Scam, why are they telling to pay $170 to write on printed sheets

Kumon Red deer has help our kids in building their confidence and competence in school. The teachers are very competent, accommodating and helpful. They understand the ups and downs of kids learning and continuously motivates them. As a parent, I also need to do my part in monitoring their progress. I do believe in the influence of the kumon method. We live outside of Red deer and are bringing our kids to attend in person classes and it is all worth the sacrifice. I highly recommend this center.

This place is the worst math/reading tutoring place I HAVE EVER GONE TO. My son and I are never coming back here, or recommending it to anyone. Before you think im crazy keep reading on.I usually never rate places 1 star, in fact I dont think I have never. Most Kumon places are alright, but this one in red deer is NOT.There is so much wrong about this place.1. Management/teaching. This place has the worst teacher I have ever seen in my entire life. My son has had so many problems with the teacher. She shouldn't even be called a teacher, and her degree should be ripped up.This instructor, instead of teaching her students, yells at them. As well as that she shoves endless worksheets that teach nothing in there faces.I dont think she has ever taught a lesson in the time I've been there. Just shoving worksheets upon worksheets in kids faces. A lot of kids I have seen there easily get discouraged because of this teacher. Kids dread going here not because of the math/reading but because of the instructors attitude.This instructor cant even teach basic reading classes. The whole place is just a terrible environment to put your kids in.To summarize this, SHE DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO EXPLAIN/TEACH ANYTHING. Instead relies on prepackaged worksheets that can only do so much.2. Quality of establishment. This kumon center has been so poorly built. In the winter it gets freezing cold, since the Instructor is to cheap to buy heaters or anything close to that. And in the summer, oh lord is it bad.In all this Kumon instructor is just to cheap. All she wants to do is make a quick buck, while not even providing the bare necessities. Place feels like it was built in like the 80s.3. THE PRICE.This is my biggest point. It is around 150$ + fees to join this. WHICH IS NOT WORTH IT. For this cost go drive to another kumon center and study there. Make you pay way too much just for you to write on printed sheets. They don't teach kids anything. When you ask them something they say to look at the examples. The staff is ok itself just the concept is no. There is no point for the staff to even have degrees when all they do is mark your work using ANSWER GUIDES.
