I am so happy that I chose to design my custom-made Sangeet and Reception outfits with Nim & Amara Couture! Nim was so wonderful to work with, and patiently listened to all I was looking for in a custom gown for my reception, and together we designed a truly unique piece that fulfilled all the desires I had in mind. And she gave me great advice on how to customize a beautiful existing Amara Couture lengha for my Sangeet that turned out awesome! Nim was also extremely communicative throughout the process, giving me updates from the tailors in India often, and she got all the pieces made on schedule. We found Nim through a friend, who also ordered her wedding outfits from Amara Couture. I had an idea of what I wanted, and having visited a few places, I was really hopeful to find it through Nim at a reasonable price. Reasonable price being the key word!Nim quickly scheduled some time for us to visit her store with her and browse her off-the-rack outfits. As if those weren't beautiful enough, after trying on an outfit that was almost perfect, she told me that we can customize it to whatever colour, adjust the embroidery, make it exactly what I envisioned. I couldn't resist another off-the-rack outfit, so I bought that one too!I was so impressed with her artistry (and politeness towards my parents), I ordered a custom outfit for my husband, and sent her pictures and details for my bridesmaids' sarees, which were custom made. The groomsmen kurtas were customized to match.Nim is really busy (I have no idea how she manages all the orders she must take), so work out the best times to contact her to get updates. Suggest to also get a timeline of when items are due to arrive in Canada for pick up, and if any alterations need to be made, make sure to work with Nim to plan for this.Recommend having Nim take measurements. Sizing is best if she takes the measurements for you, because she knows what she needs to get. Go over them with her, so you are assured everything is taken care of. My bridal party were not local when I placed the order, so that part was tricky for me.Nim took the time to reassure me that our outfits would be taken care of without issue, and that we would be dressed to perfection on my wedding day. She didn't lie. I felt like she was my friend throughout the process. I couldn't have received more compliments on our look and our photos turned out so wonderfully! I am so glad we chose Nim.

This past year, we had 2 major weddings in our family. My husband and I got married in July and my brother and sister in-law got married in Sept.When planning our wedding, my husband and I gave AmaraCouture, Nim, a 6 month heads-up. Whereas my brother and sister in-law gave Nim closer to 2 month.I cannot tell you how impressed we were with Nim’s delivery. Her passion for Indian bridal wear was shown in each interaction we had with her. She was always professional, patient and very understanding.Weddings can be very stressful, especially regarding your outfits. I have used Amara for my custom Indian outfits for over 7 years. She designed and made beautiful lengas for my sisters wedding 5 years ago, custom outfits for my children’s birthdays, and now has designed all our outfits from mother of the groom to the sisters of the groom.We have never had any issues with any of the outfits and absolutely love them! Nim created all the custom indian outfits to wear at my brothers wedding for both the mother & sister of the groom.
