If I could put zero stars I would. I had my system removed in November. I go to SGI to get a new license card and it still says that it’s in the vehicle. I can’t get a new card until I get a document saying removal date and they can’t even find that I location that it was removed at. They also sent me a bill for unexplained charges. Just spent time going all the way up to Smart start Saskatoon which I would recommend going to PA or somewhere close to Saskatoon because the people in the office in Saskatoon should all be fired they are rude with absolutely no help they must be very jaded at what they do. They offered no information. Got back home spent another two hours on the phone. No answers. They say they’ll call back when they figure it out. I’m not even a customer anymore and they are haunting me. I wish everyone luck but I would suggest going somewhere else it’s worth the drive.

It is shame that you even have to give this company 1 star. 0 stars should be an option for them. There service is very poor. I have requested call backs a number of times and have never received them. Also, I have spent upwards of 3 hours on the phone today (February 18, 2019) and have not got through to anyone. I have a violation lock because I let my car idle by accident on February 13, 2019. I have been trying to get through for the past 3 days with no luck.I am not grumbling about having an inter-lock device. I got a DUI and that is my fault. But if SGI is going to run this program, they should at least know that Smart Start Canada is a very poor service provider. There must be alternatives in the marketplace.

Dealing with this company is likely the most frustrating experience I've ever had in my life. I think SGI should take some responsibility for the absolute aweful service and constant malfunctioning of the unit to the point that this device is putting my life at risk when I drive the vehicle, so I only drive when I absolutely have to. What an absolute joke smart start is, its criminal how they treat customers"."

This a review for there 1800 number customer service rep only ..Rep Kim >>>Extremely poor customer service Kim is a rep with very little to non customer relation skills . Tried to book an appointment as a shop owner to get the interlock back in to a customers car . She said that she cant book a appointment because of Privacy Issues ?? I did not ask here for any privacy information AT ALL. I did not ask for anybodies private information .What She really means is She cant book because they are worried that the appointment will be canceled . Kim don't make up things

Worst customer service experience/technical support staff ever, especially Thomas. Condescending, arrogant and thinks he’s god. I called in to explain a violation that had. I started my car and activated my idle, went on doing my stuff to let my car warm up because I was told I wouldn’t have to worry about missing a test, my car alarm went off due to a violation. I looked at the screen idle was activated and the count down on the test was decreasing. I blew in regardless, passed obviously.I called in to smart start waited 30 mins and spoke to the ignorant call taker Thomas. He told me that to drop my attitude, he was in charge and had all the power to decide from that point forward where the call was going to go. Either I drop my attitude or I would just be charged regardless if I was at fault or not. Uh what?What kind of business is this where you can speak to your PAYING customer disrespect? I’ve never ever been so disrespected so much in dealing with a business. People that are in this program are regular people that made an error in judgment, don’t treat us like scum. We are just trying to get our lives back on track and YOU Thomas are greatly affecting that ability to do so, by showing disrespect.

We had to use the Saskatoon Location. We live 1.5 hours from the City so We left our home with plenty of time to spare, but do to the terrible road conditions and the very slow drivers and road construction, we were 27 minutes late for our appointment. Tanner greeted us without judgement. He was very understanding and still agreed to honour our appointment even though we were disrespectfully late due to events out of our control. The entire appointment he remained to have a respectful, non-judgemental demeanour. We were extremely satisfied with our service here and recommend everyone who needs to access this service, try to book with Tanner.

Absolutely despicable horrific disgraceful experience. Nothing but sheer contempt for the device that was constantly faulty. Long hold waits to talk to customer service. Absolutely shameful. DISGRACE! A criminal prosecution for the waste of time they put people through is well warranted. Costed me days of my work cause my car could start. This disservice to society is truly sickening.SHAME ON START SMART CANADA! SHAME!

1 star is way more than they deserve. They don’t call back, website is also terrible, the only time they have been fast at contacting me was to get an appointment for the installation. Do better please!

Had a transfer appointment scheduled 10am on May 10 the only day off a week before our wedding. Appointment has been booked for over 2 weeks in advance. We live an hour way from the city. It wasn't until we showed up at the allotted time when we were informed that it had been canceled. They only have 2 employees and when one calls in or doesnt show they cancel all installs and transfers. They at least gave us a free transfer. However now we still have to call and re book an appointment.
