Good tasting food but unfortunately it's a bit overpriced for what it actually is. Service left a lot to be desired. We were only customers in the restaurant and had to ask server to come back for drinks several times and had to ask about the drink we ordered at the start of the meal 20 minutes later. Not luxury/fine dining but, ok food. We would definitely return if the buffet was priced better than $27 per person.Reply to owner's reply: It was not a tea that we had to wait for so, no need to describe the process of a drink we didn't order. We simply ordered a Tom collins cocktail from your special Friday list. The server forgot to make it then we had to inquire about it again. We came in on Friday at around 6pm and we were 1 of 2 tables with the other table leaving shortly after we got our meals. The buffet was barely stocked. I was being relatively polite with my previous review with maybe some constructive feedback. I don't think you need to actively dissuade people from coming in by replying and challenging everyone on what they ordered. Take some feedback into consideration and try to improve.For reference the other Indian restaurant in portage, has about the same number of items in their buffet and tastes quite close if not better at half the price.Will be hesitant to return, thanks!

Food is delicious and staff were very friendly and welcoming. Definitely the best Indian food I’ve eaten in Portage La Prairie and maybe even Winnipeg.We opted for a la carte. Disappointed about the buffet. The staples that you would often see at Indian buffets were not there.Ambiance is okay. Not what I what I expected considering the place was advertised as “fine cuisine.”I think the biggest issue for me is that for the price of the menu items, the servings were incredibly small. I have no issue paying for better quality food and more delicious food. However, even with that to consider, the prices just did not make sense.

This is a welcome addition to Portage la Prairie. I got the buffet so I could try different offerings. Everything I tried was tasty. I really enjoyed the chilli fish. The service was wonderful. The young woman that greeted us was delightful and the atmosphere is lovely.

This place is simply Awesome. I travelled more than 1 hour just to see this restaurant and was not disappointed. Great ambience and quality of food . Owner is also very courteous . Will try again forsure .

Wow, great spontaneous find. Attention to detail, decor and great food are its distinguishing features. Honestly, this is a more elegant & upscale Indian place than you can find even in Winnipeg. The bar & on-tap beer selection is larger and more interesting than what you’d find in most bars in Winnipeg, let alone a restaurant. We had the chicken korma and Tikka Chicken appetizers & Masala tea. Fantastic taste. Well worth the trip.

I drive almost 200 km to have lunch at this place it’s always amazing the food and their service too. I’ll always be coming down just to eat over here. Never got disappointed and their veg main course sabji are the best must try their suggestions.

I’m not well versed in Indian cuisine so I asked a bunch of questions, which the owner seemed happy to answer. I had the chicken Korma and it was mind boggling delicious. The rice on the side was done to perfection, not at all sticky. For sides we had both garlic naans and paneer naans they were both delicious, fresh out of the tandoori.For desert we had “Firni” amazing icy cold rice pudding like creation sprinkled with pistachio and drizzled with deliciousness.
