Definitely worth a stop. There is a great deal to learn about this unique ecosystem. Informative displays and helpful staff add to the natural setting

The site and trail at the Salmon Restoration Society, with access along Sooke River Road was beautiful. It was an enchanting experience for my partner and I, as I have never observed a salmon spawn in person before having never lived in favourable places. Access to the creekside for viewing was respectable, with barriers clearly marked as to not disturb the salmon at the site, though this did not detract from the natural surroundings.The attendants took great care to maintain the site as we noticed throughout our journey and even went added to the experience by having educational signs dotted along the trail with information about this natural phenomenon.Sooke is such a wonderful town with multiple little gems like this. I whole heartedly recommend visiting this tranquil spot regardless of the season.

Gorgeous here. The locals recommend taking the right side of the river. They said bears are common here. Beautiful place.

Beautiful place to stop and learn more about the salmon. We'll taken care of, with lots of benches and paths!

Great spot to take the kids for a quick walk around the loop. Tree cover is really dense, so rain isnt much of an issue. Really easy access and short flat trail. Not wheelchair accessible, but if you have mobility issues you'll be able to have a nice walk in the woods. Loop takes about 5 minutes
