Great, knowledgeable staff and an amazing selection of art supplies. There's nothing to complain about at this place other than you losing track of time perusing through the ample (and reasonably priced) selection of goods.

Not a bad store, but read an article quoting one of the owners calling for involuntary facilities" to deal with growing addiction and mental health issues in Nanaimo. "I don't think we'll get anywhere unless we make it involuntary so they're not allowed on the street until certain criteria are met." So at least personally I'll shop somewhere that doesn't casually call to jail the homeless"

Told my husband just going to check out some books before ordering at Amazon and ended up spending an hr with lots of shopping with prices much better than Amazon ! They listen to you really and shower all of their attention even when it’s busy. Just tell them what you want and they would ask questions to better understand your requirements and then make valuable suggestions. I felt like I have known them for ages . Lovely , lovely humans , artists and friends and finally great salespersons..

Firstly, the service is incredible. Small first time customer yet I felt like I mattered. All questions answered, products demonstrated, and all with no pressure sales. What I wanted was what I purchased. Not something I didn't want or need.Second, the amount of stock was impressive. From beginners to seasoned artist, they seem to have it or will find it.Looking forward to my future artistic journey with these folks!

The staff at Iron Oxide are beautiful humans! I always feel warmly welcomed here and can tell that they value all of their guests. Their expertise and customer service is sky high, and the artist supplies are abundant - I always find what I'm looking for each visit. Highly recommend a stop at this local treasure. Thank you

The staff know the answers to any question you may have, and will ensure that you are leaving with the right products for your project. Prices are extremely fair, often on par or cheaper than what I would pay at a box store. Only downside is that the store is very tight to move around.

It's an art store, who would love an art store? Me apparently. The staff we so helpful and kind. My kids were looking to do something more advanced than dollar store art supplies, so we came here, and they all got amazing quality supplies, and had a good time asking questions, looking at the supplies, and dreaming of different projects. The staff was so patient and kind with all of there questions (and mine).Thank you Iron oxide, we appreciate local businesses that continue to help budding artists.
