D-7 Property Management

The care taker lady at 468 Ross Avenue is rude and drunk most of the time yelling at my little sister that came to visit just because she never seen her in the building before. She’s always drunk and harassing people that come into the building even if you live here. She reports you if and makes lies if you speak up for yourself. When I first moved in she didn’t do any cleaning the walls had colouring on them and food stains and the floor made my sock really dirty. Also broken cupboards and fridge door that she said that she would take care of and she never did. Cockroaches crawling behind the fridge and in the bathroom when she said the whole building was sprayed. I would not recommend.

D7 is Great never had a problem with them Anytime I've call the office or gone there the ladies are so nice. I live in a d7 building 4 yrs now The caretaker on site is fabulous goes above and beyond

Rented with D-7 for years. Office is great, caretakers respond to issues quickly. Only complaint is sometimes you have to deal with living near people who are just mean. That is renting I guess.

D7 Property management is an absolute joke. I moved into an apartment which had bedbugs and they were trying to pin point it on me. Prior to moving in I specifically had asked if there was bedbugs as there was an epidemic in the city and given they pushed my possession date back. They replied with “no, it’s just usual maintenance”. Turns out the block had them. They got “Low Cost Exterminators” (also a joke) to in-fumigate my suite. Which is pointless unless you do EVERY suite; they’ll just crawl their way back. Which is exactly what happened. I found one the next day on my kitchen counter of all places. To validate my case I got a neighbour to confirm they also had bedbugs, and another witness I lived with before that stated I did not prior to moving in. In the end I took them to court and broke my lease but wasn’t compensated for many of the things I had to discard, nor for the fees of a storage locker to stow the rest of my furniture until the eggs were dormant (which takes a year). I would NOT recommend doing any business with this shady unprofessional company and would rate them a negative if given the chance. In less than a month of possession I moved right back out but what a dirty, costly mistake that was.

The absolute worst on all levels. They purchased our building at the end of 2020 and its been a nightmare ever since. Our previous property owner knew how to do their job, but D7 is all about cashing rents and ignoring all issues. I would not recommend them to my worst enemy and would give them 0 stars if I could.

You cannot legally do background checks as it is discriminatory the office does do rental checks as is required. My experience with D-7 has been fantastic and I have lived with them for years and will continue to do so until I buy a house. After I complete my Social work training and pay off school. Caretakers have always responded quickly to issues and had contractors out as soon as possible. I think some people expect the world handed to them and have zero empathy for other peoples situations. Empathy goes along way.

People are quite critical of this company, but I think this realty is a good one and people there are human. The ladies at the desk and on the phone have been kind; they expect respect from the clients just as you would expect some in return. The apartment I moved into has been renovated, and the care taker had made a huuugge effort to keep the peace and order, by keeping the building safe, implementing rules about noise and responding kindly to calls. I'm overall grateful for being here. I don't think any place is perfect and this is COVID, mind you. We need patience and balance.

This company is a scam! They not only steal your refundable deposit if you can’t move but they also continue to collect rent even when you haven’t signed a lease. You’ll have to go to your bank and dispute fraud if you even apply to rent with these people. Absolutely disgusting and illegal way of operating. Save yourself a headache and don’t even bother applying most of the units are disgusting and run down anyway you’re not missing anything

Disgusted with the way I was treated by this company. I couldn’t move for medical reasons and they stole my deposit and have continued to steal rent from my account despite never having signed a lease and have refused to pay back the money. Don’t even APPLY because it will be a headache and a half dealing with these people they are disrespectful, rude, and downright break the law by stealing from people. They will refuse to answer your calls to get your money back too. Daylight robbery this company is!

Do not even APPLY to rent with this company they will steal your deposit if you change your mind and still continue charging you rent and refuse to pay it back even though you are not even renting with them. This company is a scam!!!
