A superb local grocery store chain here on the South Island - especially if you’re shopping for Asian produce and groceries. I find their prices pretty good too!

Large, spacious, clean and very well presenting supermarket in the Shelbourne Plaza. Good produce section, delicatessen, bakery, meat section and a surprisingly large Asian food selection. Pleasant well trained staff. There is even a British section of comestibles!

It's the best place in the city to get a canned cheese and onion pie.update: they now have vegetable balti as wellI also think it's the best overall selection of imported food in the city. Tons of Asian food as well as European. Despite this, no tonkatsu sauce.

Lots of variety, things I have not tried( joy) and generally good prices. Staff are busy but answer questions ( what's this , what's that ? )Easy to park and adjacent to liquor store, fast food for people , A+W , for birds (Wild Birds unlimited ) and frozen packages of various prepared, well , food I guess at M+M , Cobbs Bakery etc
