PLEASE READ BEFORE GOING!!!!!!!!!TLTR:Do not go, if you want a way better food experience, go to a AYCE restaurant called Sushi & Kitchen.I this is the most honest review I can write, and if you're reading this, you will most likely experience the same thing.I have been to many AYCE sushi restaurants, so this is not a new experience for me. However, this was my first, and my last, experience at Oishii Sushi. To begin, everything seemed fine, a Wednesday evening, the restaurant was not busy at all, it all seemed well. However, once we ordered out food using the iPad, we waited, waited, and waited. It was a group of 5 people, and we received maybe one small dish at a time, which was fine, just not ideal. After maybe 20 minutes, we finally got more food coming in, and it was very disappointing. It was basically like they had zero standards, even if the food was cooked wrong, plated poorly, or just outright disgusting they would still send it out. Can you imagine ordering shrimp tempura and it's soggy? Can you ALSO imagine using that same shrimp tempura in their sushi rolls? Yup, that's what you would expect here.We were still waiting for about 80% of the first order we sent out in the beginning, and remember, THE RESTAURANT WAS NOT EVEN BUSY.I've attached some photos, but we didn't take photos of the specific ones we wish we did as we were just disgusted and cancelled our reminding food we ordered, paid, and left.

One of the best all you can eat sushi restaurants in Calgary. Everything came out fresh and hot and we had no issue with anything that came out. Service was fast and they made sure to check on us. A huge variety of things for a reasonable price compared to other sushi restaurants. Make sure to make reservations as this place tends to get very busy on weekends!

This is a good place for sushi and sashimi lovers. The price is reasonable and they have a wide variety of food to select on. A lot of people are coming here so better choose the best day where there few people coming in. We had a good time and really enjoyed the food. I hope they have more staff to cover all in peak hours. We have orders where they didn’t deliver but the good thing is they offered us if would like to have it to go. Other than that all seems to be fine, food is great and taste is very good

All you can eat dinner with top Value. Lots of choice and sashimi is not the best but sushi and roll are great. Lots of hot food choice with quality. Service is slow but they only has limited server working.

It had been our go-to spot for all you can eat sushi but have noticed a slight decline in service and quality of food. The past few times my husband and I have gone we've noticed that a few items would be missing from our order and when mentioned to the staff, by the time we were all done, the missing order was still not brought. In relation to the food that we did receive from our order, these items would take its time to arrive to the table. It also takes quite a bit of time to ask for a refreshment refill. I would completely understand if it were busy but we have definitely tried going during slow periods as we were hoping that we would be taken care of a little bit better but with no avail. Even during the slow periods, staff would be huddling together and talking to each other.Aside from the service, Oishii still has quite the selection of food between specialty sushi rolls, dimsum, various tempura and many more.

Tried out Oishii for the first time, and it is a nice experience.Food and service are great. Seems a little faster than other restaurants I have tried around the city. You can select from regular AYCE or deluxe, which gives you a little more selection. There is a HUGE variety of Japanese cuisine here. From Tepanyaki, soups, appetizer, sushi, or sushi roll. I recommend trying out the Mackerel Saba, chicken karage, or their vegetable spring roll here. They use the IPad service in which you do not need to wait for the waiter to take your order selection. The staff will hand over your food once it is ready. The restaurant is pretty big. Many tables and seats and can be very busy depending on the day and hour you visit here. It is also a great place to celebrate occasions here.Overall, I like this restaurant. Great food and service. The atmosphere leans more to a modern restaurant rather than Japanese. I highly recommend trying this out if you have not been here yet.

I know the Google reviews aren't great, but I heard raving reviews about this place through word of mouth... And this was a reminder to trust in the Google reviews. The atmosphere is dark and dingy. The service was okay (the hostess was awkward and not very friendly but our server was okay). We ordered two servings of salmon sashimi, two cones, two regular rolls, one special beef roll, a tonkatsu pork udon, and two teas. The food was very mediocre, with the exception of the udon and beef roll. The udon was borderline inedible due to the overwhelming amount of seaweed (and very little noodles) and the beef roll was drenched in sauce. Our bill came to $64.79, which was upsetting given the quality of the food. We also asked for a copy of the bill for a cost breakdown and we were told due to technical difficulties they couldn't print a copy.Overall, not a good experience. We won't be coming back, especially since there are lots of other sushi restaurants in the area at a similar price point but better quality.

This place used to be really great so I’m hoping they turn things around but it’s been a little disappointing recently. Everything seems to lack flavour or have different textures than I’d expect. It’s alright, but if you’re spending your money on sushi there are better options.

Such a great all you can eat place. I had the deluxe dinner version. I'd very much like to try the a la carte next to see if they deliver the same quality they delivered during all you can eat. The photos are deceiving, but these rolls are much much thicker than average Maki rolls should be. I wanted to try more but I wasn't expecting so much rice.
