Duck Mountain Provincial Park
I've been all over Manitoba, and I've camped all across Canada. This was one of my favourite places I've ever been to. Wellman Lake campground was super beautiful and had a lot of great private sites and very clean, modern bathrooms. A great hiking trail is accessible from the campground as well. The entire park has lots of great trails and cute little lakes, plus fantastic views if you drive in from the north or south. Can't wait to come back.

If you are here for hiking, don't go to the Blue Lakes area. The Blue Lakes Trail is the trail from @$#. We must have climbed over or crawled under 50 or 60 or more downed trees blocking the path. We would have turned around early, but thought it would get better. But no. Some trees had been there so long there were well-worn paths around them or the tree trunk was smooth where people had been climbing over them for a long time. Other trees were newly fallen. Forget about protecting yourself from ticks. You are right there on and around the logs and branches. And the woods are so full of dead trees on the ground there was hardly a square meter not crossed by a downed tree trunk or branch. Worst I've ever seen. The trail should either be closed or a sign should be posted warning about the hazards.

Beautiful park teeming with wildlife and recreational opportunities. The Mossberry trail system was nice although a little muddy from ATV traffic. Backcountry campsites well supplied and taken care of.

This is by far one of the best provincial parks in Manitoba. Beautiful, well maintained, spacious camp sites. Super happy to have spent some time making some great memories.

Duck Mountain Provincial Park
Although the weather was poor for my visit I loved this park. I came from the north side, having cruised the grain fields watching raptors. I was pleasantly surprised at how much water was in view along the wide, well maintained gravel road. My schedule limited time for walking but Duck Mt. offered so many wetlands, ponds and lakes to observe I couldn't believe it. Of several parks visited in Manitoba this was the best. Lots of waterfowl around along with song birds and raptors including red-tailed hawks, kestrels and more. Highly recommend this stop.

Beautiful lake, clean water, nice beach area, well maintained, full with natural beauty, there are around 6 lake located inside the provincial park area. All of them are full with natural beauty. For them who wants to go for camping, camp ground located in east blue lake and child lake, rest, you can explore with boat but don't have camp ground.** Poor Gravel roads, good tire for the vehicle is recommended ****Very limited Cell phone coverage **Those campers who wants to do fishing and boating, highly recommend.Over all great place for summer fun.
