Renaissance Carpentry and Millwork

It gives me great pleasure to write a very positive review for Jonathan. He help me so much when I was unsure of the designs that I wanted for a house that I was renovating. On time, professional, friendly with custom work that has a quality unparalleled today. I would recommend Renaissance Carpentry to anyone.

Jonathan was amazing! He was very professional in his commitments and not only met, but exceeded all of our expectations. The work he did was excellent and demonstrated pride and perfectionism. I highly recommend him to everyone.

Renaissance was hired to complete our carpentry finishing on our new build. A walk through of the house was completed and all finishing concerns were addressed. He explained he could start work the second week of August. Two days before he was to begin he messaged (did not even have the decency to call) that he decided to take some other jobs. We are now 4 weeks till move in and need to find and hire a new finisher. Honesty, reliability and the ability to just show up go a long ways now a days. So I would not recommend Jonathan as I know how stressful renovations and new construction can be and one doesnt need to be left hanging a day before the agreed apon start date. No attempts to call us or notify us of project cancelation was made. When we asked if he would be willing to work with us even though he had already ditched us for another job he plainly said no. Anyone who is in question of his lack of conact can contact me as proof can be shown that no attempt to contact us was made. We were lucky enough to find other finishers with more experience who were willing to pick up the mess he left. Definitely not worth the time, tears and heartache we wasted on this company.

Jonathan replaced our dated railings and handrail in our home. We were very impressed from start to finish. He was very responsive to our initial contact, and got back to us with a quote very quickly. He worked with our timelines as we had other contractors lined up after him. The quality of Jonathan's work is exceptional! It is very apparent that he takes pride in his workmanship. He was very respectful of our home and is a very pleasant individual. The 5 star rating that we are giving him is very deserving. We would not hesitate in using his services again!

I was so pleased with the new closets\cupboards that Jon built for my dressing area. You could tell the experience he had by how he knew what had to be done, from removing the carpet under the new closets to relocating heating vents and working around my existing outlets. He even drilled me a hole under the closet to invisibly access one outlet. I wanted storage for very specific items and he accommodated all of it. I love my new jewelry drawer. And he put a hanging, folding table on the back of a closet door to fold laundry on. He did exactly what I envisioned, he was punctual and professional. I am very happy and very pleased.

Jonathan was incredible! We appreciated his thorough, punctual and diligent work ethic, and also admired his efficiency with his time and materials. He engaged us with questions, incorporated our ideas and left us with a stunning railing and staircase that we feel is our main showcase in our new home...and he did all of this while coming in under our budget and our tight schedule. I work in the Construction Industry as a Project Manager, and needless to say, I will be adding him to my list of subtrades, as I was so incredibly impressed with him. Hands down, a solid 5 star from me!
