We are underway and on our way home today because of the generous kindness and help from Dwayne at Mellin's Firewood.We got a flat tire on the highway, he saw us, he actually doubled back to help us!!He didn't have to, but he did. My family and I have been buying firewood from the Mellins for a very long time and always great service and fantastic firewood. Always seasoned properly for a great burn. Can’t recommend them enough!!

This place is run by some of the nicest people I’ve ever met. I can still grab wood late at night if needed, as they have the old honesty boxes that you don’t see much anymore. Really like that!In all the years I’m bought from them ,,, only once did the wood hiss a bit ( we had recently had huge rain bouts ). My neighbor at the next trailer bought his somewhere else and couldn’t get it going. Rain is nature, so I shared.Will be a life long customer at this point!Thank you for all your help always, Mellins!

They were very knowledgeable. Able to tell me what wood to use to start the fire and then keep it going (new to camping). Very nice and easy to talk to. Now that I have a trailer in the area, plan to go there often. Even had cool items in the store to purchase.

Great place to stock up for bonfires!! Easy and convenient, love the drop box idea so I can get wood anytime !!

So it is self serve, no biggy….pre filled slots or fill your own…..don’t use their filled spots, wood is damp, to big full of Bore Bug worming. And my goodness better ask the invisible want to be god if you can grab a handful of kindling to try and get this wood to smoulder. Will never buy from them again….2 great places one before them and one after them on the same road. And they are great people who work at the other 2 locations.

Went here last night to get firewood. The wood is huge first of all and no good unless your fire is already blazing hot. We were trying to find pieces that were smaller and apparently we were taking too long because the ring notified us we were being recorded. We also only had a $20 and there is a $15 self serve rack. We were going to take a full rack plus a third (equates to $5) and the lady said “take a few more pieces” for $5. Totally uncomfortable experience. Don’t have self serve if you’re going to record your customers. Just bag the wood in bundles prior and people will know how much to take rather than feeling uncomfortable being recorded and talked down to over a camera. Awful customer service and business. And after all that, the wood would not burn well. Would not recommend.
