This cheesecake is one of the softest I have had. It is like taking a bite of a crossover between a wet cloud and a marshmallow. I don't think it's a favorite for everyone but for those craving something mildly sweet to go with black coffee, this is a great cake!

Loved this place!! You can’t go wrong with cheesecake, and this was my first time trying Japanese-style cheesecake! Super fluffy and light, and at a great price $15/ea. We stopped in after an afternoon of shopping and there was a like out the door!! That’s how you know it’s going to be good.Definitely go for the Madeleines as well - they were some of the best Madeleines I’ve ever had!! Super fluffy on the inside and quite large. Will absolutely be back!

I'm not a fan of super sweet desserts. Uncle Tetsu's Japanese Cheesecake really appeals to me as a result. We tried all the flavors which included original, matcha, and mocha. They were all good with a spongy texture which is similar to angel food or cake to me. My favorite was the mocha which is similar in texture and flavor to tiramisu. I also had a Madeline which was not too sweet and reminded me a little bit of a cross between a cupcake and Jiffy cornbread.

Sitting in bed eating this cheesecake honestly the is the best thing I’ve eaten during my trip to Vancouver. Light fluffy perfection

Travelled all the way from Minnesota to be able to try Uncle Testu Cheesecake. Very airy, light and tasty but for me it was just too sweet for me in my opinion but over the experience was very good.

Sooooo I tried everything but the cheese cake on their menu. The custard tart is nice. The muffins are decent, but not worth the high price. Similarly, the rusk (which is like a biscuit) is also not spectacular. I want to try the cheesecake at some point.

COLD CAKE!The so-called manager gave us a cold cheesecake (tasted as if it sat on the table for hours) and refused to exchange it for one that recently came out of the oven. In Japan’s branches they always serve hot cheesecakes which taste 1000 times better than cold ones. Do NOT go to the downtown Vancouver branch. It’s not worth your money!

Uncle Tetsu cheesecakes are great most of the time if you love Japanese style fluffy cheesecakes. Both the original and chocolate cheesecakes are great! However, my most recent experience with the matcha cheesecake was somewhat disappointing. First of all, the size was probably about 2/3 of the cheesecakes I've purchased previously. I've cut half of it up before I remembered to snap a photo, but even with half of it you can see how the cake has shrunk. Judging from how wrinkly it looked when the cake was whole, I'm suspecting the cheesecake didn't rise properly in the baking process. Also, the matcha taste wasn't very prominent. Hopefully next time when I return for my favorite chocolate cheesecake it'll be a better product. If not then it's time to look for something else.

First of all the cake (original) is really delicious. It tastes light and fluffy and not to sweet. You can watch some steps of how the cheesecake is being done by the the staff at the shop.
