Have been a member for over 30 years and do all my banking there and its about to change. I needed to defer my mortgage because of some financial issues due to have to shut down a business I had. I was told over the main line that it would be no problem and to do 2 payments not just 1 and to consider its done. Then 3 days later I got a call from the branch manager asking me why I needed it done. I told him why and he said he cannot authorise it because it doesn't meet their criteria for reason. He recommended that I take out my RRSP or borrow money from a friend to pay my mortgage. I would have to come to the bank to do it. So much for the peoples bank and trying to help people get ahead and set up for retirement.

Don't like to give 1 star but just consider it a reminder :2 lines : 1 business , 1 personal . Dec 29 or 30 Just me at the bank . Waited 12 Mins in Business line (I was the only one at the bank when I arrived ). 3 customers passed me from personal line . Still no acknowledgment from any of the 2 counters ! Hellooo ! What's the point of having a business line if its a disadvantage for the customer. left the bank . who knows if they wanted to serve the business line or not .That being said , other branches don't have this problem at all.

Only being open from 9-3 makes it impossible for anyone who works to bank during the day, and the homeless who live in the atm lobby make it impossible to use the atm.

I am a Vancity Member, I have been for over 30 years and will probably be for many more years to come. I like Vancity. But Holy Cow! This branch has the longest line-ups I have ever experienced in a bank. I work near here and have been doing weekly banking at the till for the last 4 months. Every time I come in, first thing in the morning, last thing in the evening, middle of the day, it does not matter. I am always in a line-up, sometimes for over 40 minutes. It is ridiculous. As often there is only two teller open with more than 20 people in line. Thankful that my job is moving me to another location and I will never have to come here again.

I am vancity customer for many years but someone who has all my information played with my account for 3days from March 25 to March 28 then drained my account between paying unauthorized payments in 2 credit cards and 2 e-transfer and unauthorized bill bank payments.The bank froze my account for 4 days then refunded all the stolen money. I don't feel safe with this branch. I decided to transfer my money to a different bank. Sorry

NOT ENOUGH TELLERS. The customer service is great but the wait time is 35min and over to see a teller most times. What's the point if having stellar customer service if I can't even get to the teller to receive it!

Currently I've been standing in line for over 40 minutes. Just in time for them to close down yet another till with no one to replace them. The queue is longer than the winding rope line-up allows. The person at the information desk has not been here the entire time I've been standing in line (who I needed to see for my problems).

I spent an hour and a half with VanCity trying to complete a very simple business transaction. Even with a 15 year relationship and immaculate credit they treated me like I was a new customer. I had one corporate account left (of the four I once had at VanCity) I will be taking the business for this last account to an institution that can be more helpful.
