Dr. Shael Liebman

I just had a surgery consultation with this doctor about a lipoma in my lower back that has been causing me severe pain since I first became cognizant of it over a year ago. After said consultation, I have to say I am very unimpressed. I told him I knew what a lipoma was (as any person would do after being told they might have one I did a google search and asked some people I know have had them, obviously not an expert but have some knowledge) he spoke to me as if I had no clue about what a lipoma was and then proceeded to explain to me how dr. Pimple popper (an Internet personality) takes them out the wrong way until I stopped him as this had no relevance to me as she is not the one who may potentially be doing the surgery. Then when he finally examined me he said it “feels” like it could be a lipoma but could be cancerous. When I told him about the pain it causes he said it really shouldn’t. Only when I asked if it could potentially be pressing on a nerve and that doesn’t that cause pain he agreed. I am not impressed whatsoever. I will be contacting my family physician to see if I can get in with someone else, his consultation did not make me feel confident he knew what he was dealing with in my case. I am obviously not a doctor or specialist in any way and I hate to say I did a google search, but honestly I learned more from google than this guy who has years of education... very unimpressed and I do not recommend him. As for his actually surgeon work I don’t know but judging from some of these other reviews I am not alone.

Dr.Liebman is excellent, caring and one of the finest doctors I have ever been a patient with.He took the time in our office visit to fully explain the procedure and made sure all my questions were answered.At the hospital we had a pleasant chat before he began. Horrible bed side manor and no compassion whatsoever. My family and I are very upset with him.

Dr. Liebman is an amazing doctor and surgeon. He explained in detail what the plan for my surgery and treatments will be. I was very scared to be diagnosed with breast cancer but he assured me that my cancer is completely curable. That eased my concerns right away. Also, he was always available to answer my questions and help with any disability forms.

Very good experience. Nothing bad to say at all. Dr. Is polite and competent. Receptionist is nice. No problem dealing with them again if need be

I am a retired nurse and was very impressed with how Dr Liebman took care of my friend who was newly diagnosed with breast cancer. He took the time and explained in detail her diagnosis and her options for surgery. He did her surgery as discussed. He went above and beyond to see her before she was taking a trip so she could get her final pathology and assess her wound. Thank you very much!! Keep up the good work!!

The secretary might be the rudest person on the planet. I was suppose to have a consolation with the doctor. They called me gave me a date, they said they would call on that date to confirm and give me a room number to go to. I took the day off work showed up waited in the parking lot and know one called. The number they gave me didn’t work so I couldn’t call them. The receptionist was insanely rude and condescending during the first call. I wasted a days labour and months of my time. I walked through the facility trying to find their office. The building was horrifying, ceiling tiles falling out paint pealing from the walls. They completely wasted my time. Never had an expletive like that in my entire life don’t waste your time

Dr. Liebman is an excellent surgeon. He has had to perform surgery on me twice now, once for a strangulation with my umbilical hernia and again to add mesh to prevent further problems. He always explains what my procedure will be like so I am fully aware of what to expect!!! I would definitely recommend him to anyone!!!

RECEPTIONIST is so RUDE! hung up the phone on me before finishing my sentence.
