SEMs Moving and Storage are everything you want in a mover. The initial response was within minutes. The quote for our small office was a simple hourly rate for labor and an inclusive travel fee. They totally knew what crew and truck size was required. The movers arrived a few minutes early, and were professional, quick, and careful. They stayed focused, and were great to work with. I highly recommend this company to anyone.

Had a wonderful experience using SEMS. I used them to move locally in Toronto, from a 2 bedroom to a studio. Quick and easy to communicate for a quote based on inventory list (which changed a couple of times). The pricing was fair and affordable. The day before moving day, Sheena kept me updated on arrival times, which was extremely helpful. The move was quick, painless, and easy. The men took extra care with some fragile family heirlooms that were covered in glass. They also successfully navigated a narrow elevator opening with some bigger furniture pieces (mattress and wide couch). Best experience I've had with a moving company, period.

They gave an accurate estimation, didn't carry hidden charges, and discussed billing in depth to make sure their customers are aware of what they are dealing with before moving. The communication between me and the staff made me feel safe and cared for as preparation for a new life in a new home. The movers were professional, quick and took care of my belongings. Very professional, responsive, reasonably priced, fully equipped trucks, courteous and hardworking. Whole company had the right attitude! All owner operated, hired and vetted employees. Great crew leader kept things on track! Best move I have ever had, and I’ve moved quite a lot! Used different companies before now, these guys were the best! Never used same company twice, but will definitely call if I move again!! Moving causes stress, these guys don’t!

First time ever having movers pack and unpack my house, and I was very satisfied with the team from SEMS! The movers treated all of my possessions as if they were their own. Very pleasant team and worked great together. All of my household goods were in the same condition as when they got packed. They put together all the furniture and placed it where I requested. Very happy with the way everything turned out. I would recommend this company and especially this team to anyone who is looking to pack up or have delivered their household goods.

I used Sem’s moving to move from Montreal to Toronto. This was a big move! 26 foot truck+3 movers and i had to leave some stuff back. They were professional and didn’t slack off and tried their best to fit everything in one truck. The way they placed the boxes and furniture in the truck was astonishing. They aren’t cheap but at the same time they were honest. The price they quoted me was very similar to what the final bill was (+200$ due to the amount of stuff i had). They didn’t hold my stuff “hostage” until I paid or any of those dirty tricks moving companies do usually. They were clear about their stair fees and appliance fees. Only complaint is they charge a 3% credit card fee if you want to use a card. 3% for a large bills adds up.

I received important information in a timely manner and the two crew arrived on time the day of the move. They were professional, well equipped, considerate of the few specialty items I have, and took care to protect my furniture and paintings very well. The crew was professional, hard working, efficient, polite, and personable. I was very impressed with the quality of service and the transparency of the estimate and final cost. SEMS packed the contents of my 5 bedroom home and moved everything into a storage unit and then out of town 140 km away. The staff estimated the size of the load to perfection, the truck was completely full. Their estimate of space ensured that I arranged the right sized storage unit at the other end, which they packed quickly and efficiently in a high-security method. All the people I dealt with from SEMS were helpful, professional and hard-working. They gave me peace of mind throughout. Thank you!

Absolutely great moving company. Called the day before our move to go over last minute details. The movers were on time and listened to our concerns about our delicate furniture. They were truly nice young men. Denis and Ivan were very friendly and courteous. They did a great job. We were very impressed overall and would highly recommend Sem's.
