Bento Sushi

Went to bento sushi today and the lady at the register was extremely rude. I told her I have a 20% off with my Visa card and showed her the coupon page from the visa airport companion app and placed my phone directly in front of her with brightness in full. She tells me she doesn’t have a scanner and can’t give me the discount. I pointed to the sticker that was on the register that said “dragon pass accepted” and said I thought the restaurant accepts it though. And she rudely said “well I don’t know what that is”. I told her it says dragon pass and you were looking at it this whole time. She was so disgruntled mumbling how she couldn’t see it.I’m sure I wasn’t the first and only one who showed her the visa discount barcode page, and the restaurant clearly says they accept the visa benefits. Maybe be a little bit more professional and be more proactive in asking what something is if you still don’t understand something instead of giving attitude to your customers.

Its an airport sushi.. dont expect much. Same as supermaket sushi.The spicy salmon isnt spicy.. the wasabi doesnt have any kick.. and the soy sauce is flavorless.. typical bento sushi..

You’d be silly to get anything here other than the donburi. They were out of beef when I went which is sad but the chicken was good. Rice cooked fine made with care no quality issues

Yesterday after a long flight, I was instransit at YYZ airport. I was tired, hungry and looking for some comfort food. I came across this Bento Sushi. This is first time ever that I order bento at this chain store.After paying $18.99+Tax=$20.33 for Chicken Bento Box. Not only the price was expensive, I was so disappointed at the horrible quality of the food.The chicken was not grilled and has no taste. The sauce was bland. The rice underneath the chicken was mushy! It was almost like congee to me!The cucumber in the California Roll was frozen! The sushi rice was hard and cold!Move on the the geoza, my last hope that how wrongly can this be. To my surprise, it was bad! The skin was overly done, mushy as well. I am not sure if the geoza was steam/boiled for too long? Or was it reheated after being cooked so the texture and the taste was all gone.Now the veggie, at least it was fresh, but no taste.I was rush to catch another flight. I have no time to let the staff know how horrible the food was.For a tired hugry traveller longing for some comfort food. And hoping a chain store would at least offer some quality food. I was so disappointed and upset that it was not standing up for it's brand.I know it's hard to run a business at the airport. I know pandemic effects all business. I know the price at the airport is more expensive than everywhere else. I wasn't expecting something delish at the airport. But the taste and the quality was horrible like this one was UNACCEPTABLE!I wished I had gone to the Thai Express on the other end of domestic departure.

I specifically asked if the tofu bento box was vegetarian and was assured it was. I get the order and confirmed again and this time was told it wasn't as it was a pork dumpling and the sushi offered was not cucumber or avacado. They took away the dumplings and sushi and returned the box to me. Paid $22 for nothing I ate. Only good thing is I won't have to consider going there in the future.

Staff are polite but I would not recommend this place for food. The portions are tiny. The tofu bowl came with 5 slices of tofu that were paper thin. You will get more food for your dollar if you choose a burger joint.

Back in Canada from a long flight and a 5 hour layover I was pretty hungry. Decided to get the Bento box. Disgusting. Overcooked rice, with teriyaki sauce splashed over it, disgusting chicken, soggy gyoza and terrible sushi.It was some of the worst food I've had, and to top it all off it was about $18+tax. Should have just stayed hungry instead, starving would have been the preferable option.

Everything sishi and ramen made in front of you considering you are getting it from an airport restaurant.Service was good , friendly and the place nice and clean.

Food is a not very good and overpriced but honestly not too bad for this style of restaurant. The beef was rubbery, the rice tasted synthetic and the seaweed felt like paper. Thankfully, I don’t come to YYZ often so I don’t have to come back.
