Centre Dentaire Lapointe

Tried out Lapointe for convenience of location in Brossard, to be let down by their customer service and seemingly unethical practice of charging me for services on a later date...and then submitting to my insurance without my consent. During my visit for a filling in November 2020, the Dr informed me they only needed to perform one filling instead of the 2 they thought they had to do. At the end of my appointment, I was only billed for 1 filling as the Dr said, and my insurance was claimed on the spot, and remaining balance was paid by me before leaving. All was good up to this point. In late December, I received an email from my insurance that another dental claim was processed on Dec 22nd, submitted by Lapointe. I received an email from Lapointe stating I now had an outstanding balance. I got on the phone and spoke with the staff and eventually the Dr that performed the filling in November. The staff initially said to me, you have to pay, because these were the services provided to you on Dec 22nd. When I told them I never was at their clinic in Dec, they went back and said, it was actually for filling they forgot" to charge me for in November. I argued that

Front cap popped loose a day before my summer trip to Montreal so….Once here I found this dentist office as I drove aroundThey glued it back in place and sent me on my wayWish this office staff was in Delaware as I would keep them as my new dentistCan’t thank the staff for setting me up for the summerHighly recommend this group even in an emergencyUpdateAfter review found a $60 charge for what was listed as EMERGENCY FEE.I questioned this this fee after the fact as I was given an appointment that same day and it wasn’t an emergency. The answer was all pay that fee since I was a new clientRegardless I don’t buy that as truthful or reasonableThe other issue was X-raysI was told it was “the law”. Did buy it then and have tried to find a Quebec statute/law and have no found one regarding an X-ray lawAgain it appears this place has hidden costs so…..If you go here make sure they give you a copy of the proposed bill for the work to be completed as they have you sign a promissory note before the work startsWithout the billing first you will be up charged and gave questionable charges.LastI again popped a cap off my back toothI went again and refused the X-ray. As expected the X-ray law was told. I refused as I needed a recement only as the tooth was not in pain with or without hot coldI again updated the high rating from day one after review of billing and the 2 nd visit

Excellent service!!Dr Christian Thibault and his team are very professional. They exceeded all of my expectations, thoroughly answered all my questions and made me feel valued. The dentist is humble and down to earth. From the reception to the the specialist, all around very positive experience. Right from the initial telephonic appointment till very end of the process everything was 10/10… language was not a barrier for the team.. Such an awesome understanding of situation and accommodation as well as ability to satisfy the complex situation just before holidays travel.The team also helped me understand future treatment plan and fixed the bridge temporarily to have a happy holidays and new year!!! Such a lovely team and place to be!! Would recommend to anyone in emergency or normal situations!!! Thank you dear team!!

Very competent staff, impeccable care!Dr. Li is a young, yet very knowledgeable, well prepared and down to earth dentist, I never had any fear having to see her! Always patient, takes the time to explain and works with most care!

When I first called yesterday I was in pain and I asked if they provided service to English people and I was told no. It's possible the person just didn't understand English which I can understand. So I had my colleague call them who speaks French as I noticed the reviews here were in English.Anyways I managed to get an appointment and everyone was friendly so it all worked out. But I never would've called back myself because of the first interaction. Hoping I'll be there for a while as it's very convenient for me as far as location.

The place is clean and the process is very efficient. They won't forcely ask you to pay for anything. I really enjoy this clinic.
