We went to Arthur Murray Ajax just under 3 weeks before our wedding with very ambitious goals. Emily and Tano had the routine choreographed and laid out in a perfect sequence the next day and even spliced the music for our dance. A week later we had it all down to memory and spent the rest of that week polishing it off. I couldn’t have ever imagined getting to this point in such a short amount of time. For anyone thinking of having their wedding dance choreographed, I highly suggest planning ahead (aim for MONTHS not weeks), BUT, in case you left it to the last minute, Anna and her team will do wonders. Our original plan was focused only on the wedding dance, but my wife and I stuck around after (even got dancing shoes) and just most recently finished our first Bronze I checkout in Rumba and now working on Tango. For anyone that’s looking for a hobby to de-stress from a long day and some great people to do that hobby with, Arthur Murray Ajax should be at the top of your list. Anyone that’s concerned that you’ve got two left feet, or that you’ll never be able to do it, I dare you to try. They have a free intro session and will work with you on whatever your goals are. Also, don’t think that the adventure starts and stops at their studio – they host galas, dance events and national and international trips for competitions. It’s never too late, ask the nonagenarian in the room and he’ll tell you to “just have fun” while you’re there.

This is one of the most amazing places I have ever walked into! I'm so happy I started taking lessons. I have been going for about a year now and all the teachers are excellent, there's always something more to learn and strive for with them. They really make you feel like family!

This Ajax location is the best! The group of people are so supportive - from the owners to the instructors to the fellow students. My experience has been an extremely positive and uplifting one. Living the dream and fulfilling a bucket list item. Having fun, fun, fun doing so. Am very glad I joined up.

I recently attended the social dance that Arthur Murray was offering to the public. It came up on my social media feed and my boyfriend and I decided to attend. Not once were we greeted from the owners or whomever was running this showcase which I did find out later were present at the social dance, but nor any of the Members of the dance studio make us feel welcome. They easily took my $15 for entrance as well as my boyfriends but didn’t tell us their name at the front or where the $15 was going towards. It was just very disappointing on a customer service side that you were quick to take someone’s money but then to offer poor customer service and welcoming us to the studio. Especially for someone who isn’t a client at this dance studio…you would think that if you wanted more prospects or people at your studio, you would be able to go and greet or introduce yourselves to them to make them feel welcome. For someone like myself, who is fairly new into the dance world, and still somewhat a little uneasy dancing, in order to make someone feel less insecure the first thing you should be doing is going over to that person and introducing yourself. This studio failed to exceed any customer service at all. So I was very disappointed.

What started out as a last-minute effort to put together and learn a wedding dance has turned into a cherished hobby for my husband and myself. Our team of instructors taught us a wedding dance routine in 2 (yes, TWO) weeks and we received so many compliments!! Anna, the studio owner, also saved me from a wedding dress fiasco right before the big day. I am so glad we took a leap of faith and joined the AMA family afterwards. Several more weeks of dance lessons was all it took to start looking like we knew what we were doing on a dance floor.I can’t say enough wonderful things about the instructors. They are such talented, kind individuals who continuously encourage us like personal cheerleaders. They are understanding if you are having a bad day and know how to pull you out of any funk (super relevant for me as a stressed out health care professional). We love them all!The studio itself is gorgeously appointed. There are students of all ages and skill levels, singles and couples alike. Since I returned to dancing in September 2022 after a 30 year hiatus, I feel that being back in a studio has been like reconnecting with an old friend! The owners and all staff at Arthur Murray’s Ajax are wonderfully approachable, friendly, and put their best foot forward all the time!! Highly recommended!!

I have been dancing at the Ajax Arthur Murray Dance Centre for almost 2 years. I never thought I would rehearse a routine, get all done up and dance in front of people!!! What a growth experience!! The studio owners and their instructors are top notch artists and teachers. They help us to believe in our potential with a combination of solid technique, love and creative inspiration!
