I recently visited Kismat restaurant located in the University Plaza and I must say, it was an amazing experience. The restaurant offers authentic Bangladeshi cuisine and all their meats are halal, which is a big plus for me. I love the taste of halal meats more.Before covid I used to to eat there monthly , I have enjoyed their lamb curries and lamb biryani. The meats were tender, juicy and flavorful, and the spices were just right. They also made fresh naan, which was soft and fluffy, and some delicious beverages like mango juice, which tasted homemade.Although Kismat restaurant is on the slightly expensive side, I believe the taste and quality of food is worth the price. And recently, they added a loyalty plan that makes it even better. If you commit to pay $40 monthly, you get a 10% discount and a free beverage (the mango juice is definitely worth it!). This makes it easier for customers to enjoy the same quality food without having to worry about the cost.Overall, I highly recommend Kismat restaurant to anyone who is looking for authentic Bangladeshi cuisine with halal meats. The food is delicious, the service is great, and the loyalty plan is a nice added bonus. Give it a try and you won't be disappointed!

We have been enjoying food from this wonderful family's restaurant for 30 years. It's still the best in the region. Top quality ingredients, ample servings.perfectly prepared .Their Naan is amazing , and if you like lamb, the lamb dishes are fabulous. Biryani is delicious, butter Chicken is wonderful. We made the mistake of trying some of the other restaurants locally , but never went back to any of them. Kismet is always perfect .

Yesterday I ate at Kismet for the first time and had the pleasure of talking to Sayeed. He's an awesome person who kindly took the time to go through the menu with me. There are many vegetarian options and the paneer korma was amazing.

I'm not from around here but needed food and wanted samosas. Holy moly am I ever glad i stopped here. The workers in there were some of the nicest people I have ever met and the samosas were the best i have ever had. Ordered both Veggie and Meat samosas. The size of these things is crazy and the flavor is out of this world. I highly recommend coming here!!

Our go-to place when ordering in food! The best of the best. Highly recommend this restaurant. The butter chicken is one of our favourites. The gentleman always working there (I’d assume the owner) is super friendly as well.

These guys are local legends. The food is fantastic - I usually grab a few curries for my family, but the mango lassi is a specifically notable call out.The owners are also amazing - they truly treat their customers as family.If you live in Waterloo, Kismet should be on your regular restaurant rotation.

The flavours of Bengali food are very rich, but this place just makes curries with tomato paste and no flavours. It just felt like eating ketchup with maggi flavour in both the fish curry and the lamb curry that I ordered. Quantity was less and quality was bad for the price it served. I would not recommend anyone who are seeking authentic taste and value for money. However the meat was well cooked.

Probably one of the more under-rated places in the plaza, but it shouldn't be imo. Food and service are great and prices are on the more affordable side. On a hot summer day the mango lassi is amazing!
