Quiet Waters Sailboats

I dropped my Laser off in the fall with a broken mast step and separation issues and picked it up in the spring fully repaired. Wim and the team went the extra mile and cleaned up my clumsy fibre glass repairs and recaulked the fittings. Great job! Been sailing all summer with no issues. Highly recommend Quiet Waters!

Lots of other options to buy boats, would not recommend Quiet Waters to friends or family after limited interaction over the phone. Avoid.

I have done business off and on with this company for about 20 years. I’ve always found them to be extremely knowledgeable, friendly, professional etc. Like many seasonal businesses they get busy in the summer and response times can vary but they’ve been in business for a long time and that’s because they are good at what they do.

I was searching in vain for used Hobie Wave hull on Kijiji, these guys approach me with quite reasonable offer for the new one, and were extremely accurate and helpful during the whole buying process from taking deposit till helping me with loading new hull! Highly recommended!(Update)Unfortunately buying used things from these people is not as bright experience, as buying new parts. I bought used Torqeedo motor from these people recently. They claimed that despite age the battery on this motor still good. Well, it wasn't, it was loosing the third of the charge a day. So customers beware, these people are lying.PS Interestingly enough, there was no point in lying for them. I negotiated price that makes buying new battery economically meaningful for me, but this pointless lying forced me to order battery from manufacturer directly instead of Quiet Waters. Overpaid a bit, but is is new for sure, no dirty tricks.

Coming to Quiet Waters was absolutely worth the commute from downtown Toronto. The owner was extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and I felt like I knew him forever. I rented a big moving truck to take home the dinghy I bought and he helped me put it the huge truck and tie everything down securely.He also gave us an extensive walk through of the boat, it’s parts, and how it’s different or similar to boats I’ve been familiar with in the past.I had a great experience and I will be back in the future.
