This is a favorite spot for lunch when we are in Niagara-on-the-Lake. The service was friendly and efficient. The house beers are very good. The French onion soup is one of the best we have ever had. The sausage rolls were delicious, and the tomato soup was very good. The crab cakes were good but not the best.

Stopped in for lunch and had some great pub food! Lots of cool history, the building is I think one of the oldest in the country. For Europeans this may be kind of normal, but for Canadians this is cool! There is some spooky history too if you're interested in that kind of stuff. I had the beef and kidney pie and it definitely satisfied my pub food craving. Also - the ability to get flights of local beers is a nice touch for such an old pub. That's not a super normal thing outside of breweries.

This used to be a favorite place to eat, with authentic and delicious fish and chips and other pub fare. Sadly, they seem to be catering only to tourists now and the food reflects it. The fish was served under a layer of batter so hard and heavy it had to be cut with a knife and soaked in malt vinegar to be edible. The steak poutine was served under a layer of gelatinous and mostly flavorless gravy. The saving graces are the beer selection, the cheerful, patient and friendly wait-staff and the authentic ambiance of this antique coaching Inn, which is even haunted by at least one resident ghost. As long as you aren’t coming for the food, the Angel Inn offers a fine ambiance for drinking and enjoying the live music offered at weekends.

We quite enjoyed our stay in the Governor's Suite. It was riddled with history! The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the shared bathroom was clean. We also dined below in the pub and then returned again for a night cap. The staff was welcoming and friendly.

First off, a tour guide recommended this restaurant. Second, I heard spooky stories about this place so I want to see it. Third, I was after Fish and Chips. Therefore, my journey begins and ends after this meal. I love seafood. Crabcake & Fish and Chips are one of my many favorites. We ordered 2 starters and 2 main dishes. I didn't like Crabcakes I ordered as I had much better Crabcakes in Boston - MA; Maine - MA; Seattle Metro area - WA; and Victoria BC. I am very sorry to say that the Crabcakes I got today is the worst one I've ever eaten. Fish and Chips I have today has lighter battered than another restaurant I ordered from yesterday. Unfortunately inside is very soggy plus French Fries is too dry; combination of these two, I decided to throw the whole dish away. Not that I don't know the value of the money. But because I don't eat bad food. This is one of my bad habits.

Great, old styled place to stay in the centre. Friendly staff. Wide variety of beers and wine. One of the cheaper options in town, but still quite expensive. Rooms are above the lively pub. The ghost sadly did not visit us ;)

Great meal on the patio. Loved the Fisherman's pie. My wife loved her Steak and Guinness pie. One of our friend was happy with the chicken wrap our other friend not so much with the crab cakes. Beer was good and cold and a great selection

We were only in the pub for a drink, around 4pm on a Friday. Service was fast and friendly and there was ample seating at that time. The atmosphere is different and fun. Would go back!
